Months of work, generating my view of a future city for my UFO invasion game.
Its mostly done enough for this upcoming genghis con.
My goal was to make a not too distant future in which grav cars, shields and teleporters are as real as the alien invasion.
Here are a few pictures of my little corner of the future.

For those who may be interested in reading the battle report of my UFO: incursion response force game
https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=291163720D753127!176
its a 12meg pdf.
The game was a blast and the players were ruthless on the poor civilians. It was awesome. I dont think I could have asked for a couple of better groups.

Though the few of you following this blog likely care.....
Kickstarter imminent!
By the first of april 1st (no joke) I plan to have this thing started, FINALLY!
I recently recieved a set of master proofs, and approval from KS to launch. I spent the past few days filming the video showcase and dotting the "I"s and crossing the "T"s
My last tasks I have scheduled before launch are to do a final check on shipping costs, or default to flatrate shipping for anything questionable. If by some miracle it makes it to the stretch goal phase I have several lined up with a few vehicles that have been partially mastered with some minor problems that are easy fixes, or a couple models that have not been mastered yet but i am comfortable with their projected costs now that Ive gone through a couple Small rounds of proofs with the casting houses.
Looking around I will advertise with Dakka since this community has shown the most support, and I assume there are more lurking or who aren't aware yet. And ask all of you to get the word out.
And if this fails, well at least I have an awesome array of "terrain" for my games!

Guess who's painting me a switchblade? You are. Deal with it.
If I want some models to paint no where near the same level, can I just add to my pledge?

Cool! If the additional vehicles cost less than the painting service then just add them as per the correct chart. (it says your shipping within the US so use the domestic chart)
If you want a painting service no matter what you need to pledge for that to secure the slot. If you want addons that include say medium traffic or multiple trains both of those require substantial shipping over the base so I will need to run a calc to figure out how much they can be reasonably discounted.
Examples
If you want 1 painting service 100usd, and 1 trian 69 usd, then select the painting service to secure it, and add 63.
If you want 1 painting service, 2 trains, and a couple other small things select painting service 100, add 121-train as the shipping for the train is substantial and it costs the most, then add the rest from the chart based on quantity.

Been a while, moved, lots of life intervention, but....
I started this 48th scale f22 for the UFO incursion game, but eventually decided I liked it enough to just mount it as a "desktop model"
I normally dislike desert colors but they seemed to work nicely for this fighter.
I finished a few more, just need to get around to basing and photographing them.

I finished this starfury about the same time as that f22. And to go with the starfury (72nd scale) I did a Babylon 5 station miniature ~4 inches long.
all airbrushed except for the base of the starfury fighter. I enhanced images and printed decals, then airbrushed a few gradients onto the decals to blend them in. otherwise the fighter and the space station are 100% airbrushed.
I wanted the starfury to be a "commemoration" to those who faught the shadows, lest we forget shadows lurk everywhere. They stood between the darkness and the light. The top of the starfury is "tigerstriped" with a darker green black to be shadowy, while the center dorsal panels are painted with an image of Za'hadum.

And a few more.
Here are some trekish miniatures from studio bergstrom.
Then some Rom battlecruisers that can split between dorsal and ventral sections, I designed these.
And finally my babies. the nautilus based breach carrier and dreadnaught. My own design and painted to look as organic for starships as I thought was reasonable.

And a quasi commission from clear horizon miniatures. One of their 15mm drop pods firing its landing rocket as the blast doors lower.
99% airbrushed other than the bullet hole highlights I didnt feel like masking.
Im quite fond of how this one turned out. . the fire could use a bit more polish though.
Click to enlarge, there is a fair amount of detail that doesnt show up on this reduced scale image.
