Subject: Puppets War New releases 2.0 (Page 8 - "Mayhem Knights Heads)
Updating my situation with puppetswar from a few posts ago, bit tired of waiting I must admit
02/03 - Order place for 3x whirlwind turret
02/26 - Order received, tons of miscasts/no useable parts, contact customer service
02/27 - Told they sent my order from the "discard pile", and that I would be receiving replacements asap
03/20 - Requested updated info on replacements/status, if it had been shipped, if so what was the tracking
03/24 - Received tracking number for replacement order, which was apparently "accepted from sender" on 03/22 from Poland
This makes me wonder if they completely forgot to send replacements, and didn't until I reminded them on the 20th. Regardless my replacements took almost 4 weeks (26th - 22nd) to even go to the post office.
Originally I had wanted this for use at a GT on 03/02, and figuring a month in advance was plenty of time - then I wanted them for Adepticon (04/17) and am unsure if I'll even have them for that deadline since they're shipping now, and then I'll have to clean/paint them. At this point I'm still waiting until I receive the pieces to give my final verdict, but I find it very unlikely I'll order anything else from them.

Spoiler:
what marine is that on the far right?
FW mk III armour and bits from the DV chaplain. I just need to file off the DA icons to make him a BT chappy. I'd like to see the transport at another angle. I hope he makes more zombie figs. They look like something from a megadeath album cover. That's why I want more variety cause the first set is outstanding. Maybe when we get closer to October.

Aye, I must say despite the way my poor casts were dealt with I will not be ordering from them again unless I hear they have greatly improved their casting. Shame, as I really want the ork bus/trukk

So. I just spent about 4 hours taking photos and uploading the images to photobucket. About 40 pics overall. I'll just post a couple here. I've emailed the same info to Puppetswar. There were quite a few things I missed the other day, that I picked up today. Some of the tiny air holes I'd have let pass if I didn't have issues with about 90% of my order. Usually, if there is a small issue with something I order, I quietly go directly to the supplier and it usually gets resolved quickly and painlessly (or I just wear their mistake). I attempted that in this case, but as it was not resolved quickly or painlessly,
Needing to spend such a ridiculous amount of time QAing, photographing, emailing, posting pics of this stuff, after taking nearly 2 months to arrive isn't really endearing. Despite this, I'm going to remain calm.
I'm posting all of this openly for a few reasons:
1) Sharing my experiences with others so they can make informed choices. I certainly wouldn't have ordered from them if I knew what I do now.
2) In the hope of shaming PW into upping their game. It's simply not good enough.
3) To hopefully give PW some additional enthusiasm to get my personal issues resolved, as their CS has not been especially good so far. At worst it'll go to a PayPal/VISA chargeback and I never order from them again. So as annoyed as I am, I'm not scared I'll lose my money for the sub-par product I've received.
Note. I could easily have skipped 1) and 2) and simply gone to 3). I believe the choices I'm making here are in the interests of the members of the gaming community on Dakka.

Here's a couple pics. About 40 in total on photobucket
It's terribly disappointing that all these problems are being reported regarding mold slips and enormous bubbles. Puppets War really does make some beautiful models at an ambitious rate.
The sending from the "failed batch" excuse can only be used so many times before an outsider like myself begins to assume it's the norm.
Please Puppets War, you make great stuff. You really do.

(especially the rough casting, bubbles can be filled without too much trouble as long as they're on a flatish surface, but rough casts are a real pain to try and smooth out)
and in the main the casts ARE smooth and sharp which makes it even worse

If you look back a couple pages in this thread (page 7), you'll see where I detailed my order - I was ordering whirlwind turrets, but they seem to use a lot of the same parts as your order - and they had the exact same miscasts. Sorry to hear it, and hope it gets resolved. My only advice is stay on their customer service - I posted here as well in order to get a response, they said they'd send them out immediately...3 weeks later no word, I check with them, and they send them out 2 days later - my guess is they forgot/hoped I would forget.
I wonder if you'll get the same story about "oh we're sorry your order came from the miscast pile" as I did.

I'm with the guy above, I like the theme behind the PW stuff. But everything I've ordered has either been completely offscale (couldnt be used with any GW products) and horribly cast (way too much work and lost product to be worth it)
I don't think I'll ever order from them again unless I can see the products in my hand and check them out before buying.

I've only ordered a few things from them but no problems at all. I'm actually a bit shocked that people are seeing more errors than Finecast. Maybe they should just have the Russians do the casting for them?

I WAS going to order some more heads, and some of those new pistols (i still need a bunch for some cultists).
Not anymore. Their QC has gone to gak by the looks of things.
It's a pity, The pieces i ordered a while back were really good, and look great.
Most of the heads I've received have been good quality, and though I've always had some bad ones in my order, they've usually tossed in an extra sprue, so I've had at least as many good heads as I originally ordered + some extras.
That being said, my only experience with their products larger than heads has been pretty horrible.

I didnt just get heads though. I got some dreadnuaght weapons (which sadly broke in an accident relating to an over exicted puppy), and a big momma cannon (the reason for my order) and they were all fine (the only complaint i can think to make is the cannon had some bad flash)

I really want PW to succeed but they have got to do something about their casting. They may want to contact say, Anvil Industry, and find out if it would be cost effective to contract out their casting so they could concentrate on design, which is what PW is really good at.
