OK, I do a project during this this time of the year...
This time its a warhound titan for under twenty five dollars and about three day build time.... Still WIP, its going to be the second day soon... and i will have more pics later.

Its a blue print i had for a while which i found on line .... I modified it to be either foam card , plastic card., wood, and card board....
the build is easy, about a day to lay out the patterns and too cut, and two days to build time. For a plain Jane warhound, takes about a week to two to have the the details worked in( vents, skulls, eagles, cables, etc). will post more later on.

I use foam card for the major heavy parts Like the body and places thats are exposed for detail..
To show how thick the armour plating is in area. Im uses some extra control panels and i have some model seats from a P-61 black widow model,
Ive also have lots aof metal edged parts eagles and Howl griffon Icons..

I Use Plastic card for the legs and part of the hips.. were there going to be alot of stress.
Im also using magnets for the joints( hips, weapons, torso ). Will have omre pics of the legs completed up tonight and maybe the hip unit too...

Plasma blastgunI need to go get some shimms (thin metal sheets from a local hardware store so i can make the cones and rounded areas of the cannons)

Inferno cannon Need to run out and get the tubing for it..
turbo laser same as Inferno cannons

Next part is the detail work of the Screens and detail work on the whole titan adding panels, cables, hoses etc...( the long part)

From Start to finish you can build this TItan in Three days with out any detail... as shown... ( which is game table ready now)

Yeah the Hips are alittle wide( due to the weight) Im going too use Magnets for the weapons pods.

It going too be Five sphere magnets....

Example

OO
OO

place together and the Fifth magnet acts as a ball bearing, it works out great , you can pivot and turn the weapon pods in any direction( as long as you have enough cable slack those are going to be magnetize too )

Right Now im excited I just recieved 2o more termies and 40 assault marines, so the titan project is going to be a bit slower right now.... waiting on parts( sphere magnets and large disc magnets for waist pivot.. Going to start on Cock pit detail work or i just might seal it up depends on , how much cutting i have to do to the interior...
But the next Titan will have the whole Interior open up like the FW one.
Will post photos later on tonight.

well im using foam card as the under layers in some areas, then Im applying Plastic card to make it fit a little better.
Then its going to be modelling putty to fine in the gaps and spaces.( not green stuff its a white putty, made to be sanded and cut after wards.) cost about 6 dollars at my local hobby store.

Well Im back Again but this time its not the warhound i did today( christmas day). I found a thunderhawk pattern here on Dakka dakka and decided too make it today. Its all done except for the engines which Im going too make out of extra PVC pipe i have from the warhound. So this Model still cost me under twenty five dollars due to it was used with scrap pieces of foam card, card board( which was the tops and bottoms) and plasic card. Enjoy.

This Pattern lacks alot of detail.. so Im going too have to do research on landing gear, hatches, weapons details, etc...
But you can do alot of options with the interior, my next one will have moveable hatches and doors .
Sorry i didnt have pictures of it being build , i was jsut too excited to see how big this bad boy is too a rhino.

For the most part of the day Ive been cutting squares, retangles and making vent covers., for both projects now...

Thunderhawk is comming along great, just need to make it to Home depot again to get the pipe fitting and some bug screen. Been Covering up the exposed edge of foam card with large Index cards, there lines are 1/8 thickness just the right size to cover up the edges. Will do the same on the titan too.

I add a inferno cannon sponson( cause i dont have any removable heavy bolter sponson) so i can see how it looks, I cut out the door hatches, add a extra compartment on top of the gun deck... Extented the tail section, Add the thrid Engine area( back of the ship was all built from scratch since blue prints didnt come with that area) ( but i do have copies of the area if any one needs them).
Going to Modified the canopy to a thicker plastic card and bulker to fit the spacemarine theme.

Titan I almost finished the Plasmablaster, But the main plasma coil is off center, a easy fix, but im out of thin sheet metal( photo edge metal).
Still waiting to go to hobby store to pick up plastic tubing for Inferno cannons and turbo laser.
I add Vents to the back, sides and top of the Titan. I add detail work too to the titan.

Ok today i spend the day looking at detail work on the thunderhawk( the armour plating and landing gear area...)

Last night i had a Brian storm about my weapon joints on the titan..( I used two litre caps with a 1/4x 1/4 magnet.( with hot glue to set them in the the caps)
They work great get movement and pivot to.. Just have to get the power cables and cords for the weapons and some minor putty work on the titian, then i start painging it.

The thunderhawk might be done on friday, primed and ready for paint too..
here are the lastest WIP

I found it on dakka dakka, the pattern isnt the greatest, Its missing the whole Engine assmbly area and the tail section is kinda weak.
Im going too make a set of blue prints for a thunderhawk, with the armour plating and engine section, doors, weapons pods etc... should be out in a month or so...

Here is the pattern i got from here, there just pictures.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Oh i forgot you have too print them out in landscape mode to get the size you need.

Enjoy, and I beileve it was Cypher warrior whos pattern this was at first.....
