It has been a while since I made a pre-heresy model.
Looking at the Mk3 Captain a really really cool pose came to mind and with me doing the Imperial Fists it was natural that he became the model for either Emperors Champion or Company Champion.
And in the Heresy Era that was Sigismund

lol in the commotion sigismunds quarry flees the field embarassment to the Emperors Fists soon follow as well as many atomic wedgys from his loyal battle brothers!.
One tip lose the worn helmet no marine would carry around two helmets! other than that a sound concept.

Maybe he's been playing spacemunchkin and got the "Duct Tape" card that allows him to use 2 helmets?
Actually the idea that he's parading about the severed head of an enemy is rather neat. Modelling gore and blood dripping off the PF would be aces.

Here is is in progress,no blood yet.
Speaking of which can someone point me to a good drippy slime(blood)tutorial?
But I also have the Iron Warriors head painted a little bit(I still need to add tiny danger stripes)so you now have a better idea where I'm going with this.
He is showing all what happens to the foes of the Emperor.

Here is Sigismund with real progress
By this point the armor is just about done.
I just have to highlight a few things and work on the cape.
The gore was made using Tamiya Red clear and black and a couple hairs off my head.

Could do with some touch ups, but I realise it's still not finished.

Nice pose and painting. Like the model alot. the helmet works better now its painted but I'd have liked him to be holding a tyranids head instead or some sort of chapter relic.

Heh, the whole two helmets thing reminds me of the scene in saving private ryan where Tom Sizemore's character throws his helmet at a german after his pistol runs out of amunition!
