Everywhere I'm not supposed to be.

I'm assuming the 13F means forward observer...in which case you should know that that camo pattern needs black on it!

If you need me, I'll be busy wiping the layers of dust off my dice.

Black is actually one of the worst colors to put in camouflage, as true black appears no where in nature.

However, for tabletop games, the idea is to attract the eye to the paint job, not away from it, so yes, add some black I'd say.

Black is part of some actual camo IRL.
Seems its not so bad...

The Valk here is fine. A third color could be added but isn't a must.
If it is going to be black, find a rather matt one. Chaos black would benefit from a wash with badab black, worked for me.

Nice paintwork. Personal preference for me would be to add some paint flaked to the metal around the edges of armor panels in parts to give it a more rugged look.

This paint scheme screams British Airforce circa 2nd World War, and in regards to the Valk, I really think it works. Nice job.

To quote the Channel 4 show, Peep Show: "I'm cancelling out of shame, like my subscription to White Dwarf"

Looks great! Are you going to apply some transfers? IMO, white ones would complement the scheme nicely.

Your Valk looks fine, just needs weathering a little.

Though black has been incorperated in camo patterns for years, it does appear very little in nature;shadows and schorced earth and vegetation. Thats why the army made the decision to go to the (shotty) ACUs.

But I digress, to the OP, your Valk looks superior to mine. I tried a weathered desert look and I'm not pleased. Might scrap that idea for a standard AF gray.

All you need to do is make a very scenic base and you should have an award winning piece

The difference between commitment and involvement is like eggs and ham; the ckicken was "involved", the pig was "comitted".

Even though black doesn't appear that often in nature, the big point behind camo, and especially vehicle camo, is to break up the outline. Black can be used rather effectively to create fake shadows on pretty much any other colour.

The Valkyrie is loking great. I particularly like the weathering on the engines. Can you post a close up of the pilots perhaps? I'm always interested in how others have done them
