It looks like a neat 750 list.
Though lacking in vehicle busting... even light transports...which can be a problem.

I don't think Raptors operate that well when blinged out with only 6 members...
Oh and they get an Icon not a mark, and they are the perfect unit to get metlas or a fist on to help out vehicle busting.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Yeah. maybe swap the flamers for a melta and I think you're good to go, you've got Doom Sirens for large unit killing. If I ever play a game at that points level i'm stealing this list.

BTW, I've had to edit out the individual points costs, if you could avoid that in future it would be peachy.

I agree with the above 2 posts, its a good list, except for those dang raptors!

personally I say swap the raptors for another Daemon Prince, or if you insist on having raptors then get 2x meltas and beef up their numbers...

Believe it or not, it was actually the Raptors that inspired the Army. I participated in the 40k doubles tourney at Warhammer World last weekend and came 12th (Huzzah!) but on my journey found that pretty much anything with the desire to get into combat WILL get into combat... I like the high initiative on them (through the icon) and especially liked the speed and double flamer - although I concede that perhaps a least one should be a melta.

Do you really think a squad of six is so terrible for a 750pt game? It's still 19 attacks on the charge.

Swap the Raptors out for Termicide I say.
4 Terminators, 4 C-Melta, IoS = 155 points and more anti-tank. You could even add a Heavy Flamer Terminator or Fist Terminator in there as well.

EDIT: If you like the Raptors and want to keep them as is, then you need to find some other source of anti-tank.

Dual Melta or dual Flamer. Don't mix and in this case I seriously recommend melta.

I don't know enough about how noise marines play to critique but I have read a really good article on noise marine tactics. Sorry I don't have the link but maybe some others here know what I am talking about.

I like the list. Good luck.

I have a love /hate relationship with anything green.

Ok, so I think I'll go with the above list with the following exceptions:

1) Drop meltabombs from both Noise Marine units.
2) Upgrade Raptor Flamers to Meltaguns.

I was tempted to take the meltabombs from my Raptors, but I know a few players with Dreadnoughts, I'll greatly enjoying kabooming them at initiative 5, hahah.

I suppose my only disappointment is that, by changing to meltas, I lose some of the flame/lash synergy. Then again, I did need the tank kill.

Daemon Prince
Wings
Mark of Slaanesh
Lash of Submission
Sub-total - 155

- Normal Dp build, good for all around play

6 x Noise Marine
Aspiring Champion
Power Sword
Doom Siren
Meltabombs
Rhino
Sub-total - 205

- Cut the meltabombs. I'm a big fan of blasters, might suggest getting 1 or 2 in here (so you can shoot as you advance)

6 x Noise Marine
Aspiring Champion
Power Sword
Doom Siren
Meltabombs
Rhino
Sub-total - 205

- Same as above

6 x Raptor
Aspiring Champion
Mark of Slaanesh
Flamers (2)
Power Sword
Meltabombs
Sub-total - 185

- I am highly against raptors, for a few reasons; 1) its hard to get em anywhere without bouncing through cover 2) they're marines with jump packs... and cost a ton for what they do, while dying just as easily 3) unless your building em for heavy assault (khorne variant) where they are charging up fast to lay the smackdown, I really cannot recommend running them.

That being said, I recommend cutting the raptors for a normal CSM squad w/ 2 meltas (170 pts), and find a way to get em a rhino + IoS. OR run a havoc squad with autocannons. At this point total the highest armor value you'll probably run across is 12 (unless someone does a LR, in which points the rest of his armys gonna be weak anyway). Slanesh noise marines, like Khorne zerkers, are pretty bad at anti-tank. Thats what CSM squads are for

Hm. If you're worried about light AT, couldn't you just give the NM Blastmasters? Don't know how 1 str 8 shot compares to the two str 7 shots from an autocannon, but then the NM could fire from the relative safety of the rhino's fire point.

Tantras, do you remember which lists you did well against and which lists you floundered against? Also, What kind of list did your doubles partner have?

I'd just like to say I like raptors and I put them in almost all of my lists, but they need to be equipped correctly and be used in the right army. I use them with a chaos lord/sorc in my nurgle army to provide some anti-tank/big unit slaying where needed and for assaulting into the back/side of anything that ran up against my plaguemarines (probably the best tie-up unit there is). I'm just not sure how useful they would be in this list, but maybe you can make it work. Their biggest weakness is simply not being that tough to kill for the points so moving them quickly up the board and assaulting them into something seems like a waste of their potential.

I like the Blastmasters, they're extremely powerful, but I'm hesitant to pay 40pts for one weapon. Bearing in mind that the squads are very small already, it'd be tough protect such an expensive investment. I can't think of a way around that really, despite how good they'd be when combined with LoS.

Also, regarding the tournament, I worded it like an idiot when I originally wrote that; my mate and I actually played double Tyranids (last day of the old codex). I mentioned it just because it was the first gaming action either of us had seen in a long time and it made me re-think my opinions on some units. Raptors in particular. There was a round of the tournament in which we got absolutely beasted by some flamers, after that I was looking for something to give me mobility and flamers in one go.

@Phil - Bring it on!
