Thinking of using the new Elysian vehicle (link http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/taurven.htm" target="_new" rel="nofollow"> http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/taurven.htm) with a trailer as a counts as Chimera.
Rough sketch

Thoughts?

I would get rid of one of the guns to replace with a heavy bolter to better fit the rules.

Was planning to mount a heavy bolter on one of the sides in place of a missile tube.

To be perfectly honest the idea of a gun buggy towing around a trailer full of guardsmen just seems silly and un-40k like. It would also result in a pretty huge/long tank. I would not do it.

Interesting idea, but I'm in agreement with ph34r. It looks dangerous for the guys stuck in the back... just think of a car towing a caravan over rough ground at high speed. Within meters the caravan will flip over and probably take the towing vehicle with it.

I like it. Your best bet would be to attach the trailer directly to the jeep, rather than with a towing arm. I'm thinking of Rodimus Prime when I type this:

That would look awesome!

Personally, seeing as the vehicle comes with multilasers (AFAIK), just clip one of them off and mount it centrally.

Good luck with this, with a little thought on the logistics of the actual vehicle, you could come up with a really cool vehicle. Even if Guard turning up in a Mini Winnie might look strange....

For my 2p you would be better off getting some 1/35th scale wheeled vehicles and 40king them up. The Fuchs 6x6 or Lav 8x8 could be good bases.

Alternatively Old Crow do some lovely vehicles http://www.oldcrowmodels.co.uk/25vehicles.htm and there is also these http://www.scotiagrendel.com/Products/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=3_112_117 though they are a little short, but two with a coupling like a snow cat would look great.

I've looked around and I can't find anywhere that sell the hull I used for my 'Cowboy' Elysian Air Mobile force.
