We'll make sure that the new Warpath units have their place in Deadzone, it'll likely be done via expansions though since the models aren't released yet.

So glad we had a KS specifically to put everything in one book.

Even in the KS, Infestation was a supplement book...

That Mule does strike me as 90s too. Particularly I-Kore type stuff. The vehicle just seems largely impractical.. but then again, it does have a decent cool factor so it's on my list to watch for clearance or other sales on it.
Weapon X looks awesome.
Plague burster could be cool too.

....but.. I'd be buying any of this for other things. As miniatures I could use these but I'm done with Mantic's games so I'd have to figure out how badly I actually need those for the scenarios I'm lining up.

Nothing in planning for the moment - if we were to do some, it would likely be for the Goran Auxiliaries in Warpath.

Nice artwork. I like Mantic's DZ Kommando Orks

With a few exceptions I have bought most of the Marauder models released for DZ and WP. It would be nice if Mantic expanded these ranges.

Sadly the Raptor vehicle and its variants are no longer available. I recently build 9 of them, and 3 Quad Bulls. They didnt cost much and have a welcome Mad Max-style. So much better than GW's Playmobil look-a-likes.

When I contacted Mantic's customer service last month they responded that a few selected Marauder models will get re-released in fall when WP 3.0 arrives but they did not specifically mention the Raptor to be amongst them. I would definitely buy more of these kits. Lots of conversion potential and the Raptor gun's height fits Rogue Trader Ork miniatures quite well, so it can easily get crewed with more variety.

Did Mantic mention any plans for future Marauder products? Were they part of the WP3.0 kickstarter in any form?

Marauders are bundled in to the GCPS list as auxiliaries and didn't get any models as part of the WP KS. They mentioned maybe a mini KS for them sometime in the future.

Wishing I had bought in on that dropship.
The infantry seems to have skipped leg day though..

Nice models

I would have prefered this flyer type which was shown on the 2.0 rulebook cover:

But the Hornet will do

I like how they changed the Rangers. The new helmets are much better

Variant C of the old design sketches?

Fairly standard for Mantic sculpts, and the big thing that's put me off them to date.

The dropship is nice, though.

The dropship looks fantastic, but the troopers look like their torsos are too long to my eyes.

Nah, legs and torsos look fine. They're true scale, so no fugly Cadian proportions with no abdomens or shins on people.

They're not true-scale. Their upper arms are the same size as their thighs. Combined with the slightly oversized heads (which on these guys are as wide as their hips), it makes them look rather top heavy, and is accentuated by Mantic's habit of posing models with a very narrow stance. .. walking or running models tend to look a bit like they really need to pee.

Mantic are at least reasonably consistent with this stylistic scaling, but it's not a style that appeals to me personally.

Yeah I know.. I really did have hopes they would figure out that military style cargo pants are not the thickness of a person's legs.. Oh well.
Really hope those dropships are in the clearance bin sooner than Mantic's usual timeframe.. kinda eager to pick up a few now for a table I want to do.

I like 'em. I regret not grabbing a set of them, but I'll keep my eyes peeled for their release. Certainly better than other recent plastic sci fi dude releases from other companies - I'd think they would serve well as a generic UN Peacekeeping force in any number of near-future games.

Hmm. I'm not really seeing the proportion issues you are. I'll grant you, the bare head does seem fairly large though and the stances are narrower than I'd prefer. Overall though, I'm pretty happy with what I see. Throw in the plastic truck and I'm glad I chose them for my pledge.

If the legs were their bare legs, they would be perfectly proportioned. That's not how fatigues work though. My wife is still active duty and she hates how big they look. Typically the width at the lats tends to be about in line with the outer edges. Another thing that is lending to the "frail" look.. is that the entire proportions aren't really based on the proportions an artist typically uses. When I draw pinups or comic pages I tend to block in my figures then a rule of thumb I picked up from Paul Martin Smith (the guy that redefined Wolverine's look) is that the width of the chest tends to be approximately 2 heads wide. Also, the peak where the instep of the legs meets in the crotch area should be roughly about the midpoint of your character unless you're drawing a bulky character like Thing or Hulk.
I know most people would never go into that but I'm a very visual person and I pick up on these things fast. The one guy with the comms pack looks pretty good but the others just look wonky to me personally. The fastest fix.. slightly smaller heads. The leg length is not an easy fix and something that is probably nowhere near as noticeable with model in hand.. but in those pictures it's really bugging me.

At least the drop ship looks like it could realistically hold its payload of 10 troopers. The front looks a bit alien rather than Corporation to me but overall looks like a really good kit.

The shoulderpads plus elbow guards plus wrist guards make the arms look bigger than they are, because the legs are bare aside from the kneepads; not seeing a proportion issue

The models look nice enough, but I wish that whichever studio painted these was a little more subtle with their highlights.

Now showing various models from the previously adandoned projects!

I agree - I noticed a lot of studio paint jobs from Mantic as well as GW recently are overboard on the paint schemes, so I'm looking forward to seeing more subdued paint jobs from the community .

Can someone remind me what the material is for the Hornet?

Hornet is hard plastic.

Hornet, Mule, Accuser/Persecutor, Chira/Chroma, Drakkar/Brandr/Sturmhammer, Tunneler are all hard plastic. Plague versions of the Hornet and Mule are the hard plastic kits plus conversion bits that are probably going to be resin. Also, the Accuser Arbiter build has resin guns.

Hultr is resin, Tunel Runner is (I think) metal, but may be resin.

Everything other vehicle is either already out (all the gun platforms) or not done yet (Lancer tank, Spectra, Assassin drone)

I really hope they listen,

It's not smart to put out a book that they know has a bunch of problems

it's more likely to break rather than make the game
