Perhaps some highlighting and further detailing?

Solid black is fairly unforgiving as a colour choice as is the metallic (which would benefit from a wash, perhaps badab).

I would agree with MGS; you should try some washes and highlights to make these guys look a little better.

You might also want to go back over the blue edging and neaten it out, as there are some bits where you have wobbly lines that need neatening up (my own free hand painting is very wobbly, so don't worry about it ).

It also looks like some of the metalic areas have paint brush marks and areas where the paint has not been applied evenly. You can help prevent this by using thinner paints and applying in several coats.

As MGS said, black is pretty unforgiving, it is better to go for a dark grey, as then you have scope to add extra shading if required.

On a very basic level I think these guys would look a lot better with just a neatening up of the blue/metal and a simple wash and a few highlights.

The monolith might enjoy a slightly lighter coat, bringing it up to a dark, or very dark grey, while leaving the joins in the plate black, to give it some interesting detail.

I like the use of blue in your army. Makes it look less monotonous. Then again this is Necrons

I like the scheme but some badab black or devlin mud wash will tone down the silver.

erm, the thing is, i wish i would have added some wash on the metals before i added the blue, that being the case i was quite a 'bland' painter when i was younger. bland meaning i had absolutely no idea what the effects of washes were, so i had just picked up a paintbrush and started painting. and as i said before i would have wanted to add some wash, but i just dont want to lose the florescent shine of the blue
