So, this is in relation to my current Penal Legion army, made from Void Junker models - http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/257179.page
My PBS are going to be modelled after the description of the sanctioned psykers in the Gaunt's Ghosts books. They'll be based on Ghoul models with the spikes, bones and fur removed, cables everywhere and cages on their heads, ragged and naked with Penal Legion guards poking them forward with shock batons. Really subhuman, almost servitor/acro-flagellant look. Here's some references.
It then occured to me that the current healthy, bearded Primaris Psyker I converted looks a bit out of place, and that my primaris and astropaths should look like more impressive, 'graduated' versions of the PBS. To this end, I'm looking for the following models to use as bases for conversion. I thought maybe the Inquisitor bound psykers as Primaris, on a 40mm base with a guard pointing a pistol at his head, or maybe the forgeworld renegade 'floating' one made a bit more imperial (though it's £10 for both renegades and I only need one!) and a converted Mordheim Augur cabled up for the Astropath or maybe something else, dunno. Maybe i could convert something from Daemonhosts, though they may be a bit TOO daemony...
However, since this army already has tons of non- GW models, I'm open to suggestions of other companies' models that fit the bill. Anyone know of anything?

wow! that sounds impressive. i would suggest having the trooper/handler pointing a baton or using a whip. the pistol will look like he's executing him, imho.
i like the idea of the Vampire Counts Crypt Ghouls, but it looks like it could be alot of work. are they pewter or plastic?

They're only plastic, so it shouldn't be too much. I basically have to remove the spikes from their back and any bones they're carrying. I'm going to replace these with bits from the Flagellant box to cover any dodgy joins. Where the spikes used to be will become spine-plugs with cable coming out of them (guitar wire). I also need to chop the fingers so they're less 'clawlike'
Yeah, actually that's still rather a lot of work! Each squad will only have five though - five psykers, four handlers with prods and an overseer (counts as 9 psykers and 1 Overseer)

This is my PBS
Flagellants are good for PBS imo.
Maybe mix with Zombies from Fantasy would make them look more "Warped"
And this is my Primaris Psyker.
From imperial wizard.
Hope this helps

Sounds like you got your work cut out man.
Should be sexy when done!
I've just started making the FW Psyker into a chaos scorcerer http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/281796.page
They are such an awsome model I had to have it in my army somewhere.
