So i have a week to build, convert and paint a n[img]ew Deff Dread.

I usually follow up my orks with a mek with a KFF, but sometimes that won't do. So i found an old datasheet which has the first one. Because i am a newb, i dont know how to put my pics into my words, so just read the description.

very promising at the moment, the face of the dread looks very nice, the base is a nice touch.
I always feel ork dreads look a bit static, would be nice to see a bit of dynamic movement.

Well, it sounds promising, and there is a KFF Dread in the Battle Missions White Dwarf, so it might be worth checking out.

So i started building the haft to the kustom forcefield.

The two spiked orbs are the generators that spin around the coil (they move but arent ever going to be on a motor)

Promising start- just keep in mind that if the KFF is too big, it'll overpower the model and look odd rather than impressive.

With the overall size and width of the Deffdread, the KFF doesnt takeaway from the original model or overpower it.

Remove the stock, stand it right side up and BOOM! looks like a good ol' KFF. Looking good so far and can't wait to see progress, hope this helps with any future spinny gubbins you want to put on.

Dude that is just awsome! Love the idea to use the wreckingballs like that.

I lost my camera while painting, but then i found it once i was done.

I painted the base all bold gun, added purple, red, and cautions GALORE, and i oxidized the rivets and joints and airbrushed a devlan mud wash to get a even coat.

The orange is supposed to be rust, all i need to do is ard coat the eyes and rubber and it is COMPLETE

pretty awesome but are you going to add anything else to the floor?

I dont know what to add, around his foot the ground is cracking, but the dark photo prevents you from seeing it, got any ideas, im open to them.

Because you all care so much, I am just saying, I won that contest, and there was really tough competition.
