Hello there party people!

Im making a new Orc army for a upcoming campaign my friends are putting together. We start with only 500p but we get more and more points as time goes on. There arnt meny rules for the campaign atm exept that you must use one HQ and one Troop choice for the army and everything must be painted and finished.
So I just feel like posting some pics of my proggress and maby some Battlereports in the future!
All the models are assembled but Im a slow painter and so far almost nothing is finished, so Iv got my work cuttout for me=)

Army will startoff with:
Big Mekk
Shoota boyz
Gretchinz
Storm boyz
2x Kill kanz

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Hers some of the Gretchinz Iv painted so far plus my WIP Storm boy nob.

Im gonna change the bases to desert theme so that Ill match my friends armys

More pics soon!

Thanks for all the comments dudes. As for the wash-tip I think my problem is that i use it to much =) I love washing down every aspect of a nearly completed mini and then working with higlights for quite some time
Iv just finisheda stormboy and almost the nob. He needs some chiping on the jump pack and other detail... so tell me what yall think! Plus I remade all the bases to match the campaigns desert theme!

Stormboy

Nob (yes he looted a Blood Angel jump pack, cuz red gos fasta!)

Hard to find good light in my flat Cant wait to post the compleated mob with terrain backround so it looks more legit

Woah. Awesome work, I particuly like the Gretchin. The Stormbo is good, but the Nob would look better if his gun arm was behind him to make him more stream-lined, but that is me being technical.

Streamlined Orks? That sounds a little far fetched Orks don't fly gracefully, they flail around like wild things

Hehe yea that was kinda the idea BishopGore Hes supposed to look like he dosnt realy have 100% controll over the jump pack... but it gets him forward atleast

I love the storm nob even more now that it's painted. Also the idea of a screaming ork flailing his arms and crying manly tears while flying is very amusing...

Very cool conversion with the stormboy nob!
I love that he's looted a Blood Angels jump pack 'cause of the color

Maybe you could drybrush some bleached bone (or equivalent) onto the base?

By the way, what are you using for the orks skin?
It's something I'm really struggling with, though I think I've finally found a recipe for what I've been looking for. It's just a little slow, being a 4-stage paintjob.

Anyway, looking VERY good so far

Hey everyone!

Yea, I used waaaaaay to much Desert Yellow on the nob base ! When I get the time Ill re do it.
On the skin I start off with Gnarloc Green followed by a wash with 70% black and 30% Knarloc Green, then Knarloc Green again on that but not in the gaps(i use alot of water so it dosnt get to bright) then I higlight with 50% Knarloc mixed with 50% Gretchin Green. Then another wash with 50% black and 50% Knarloc an finely i higlight with Gretchin Green and maby some Bleached Bone mixed in to make the faces pop. The washes are an awsome tool to make it all flow together!

So thats like 6steps... Iv hade major problems with skin color, so now that Iv finely found a mix that I like, its realy worth the slow process

On another note I just got my Flak Gun from FW so Iv spent alot of time pining different bits so that it can move in all directions (I like to be able to blay with my toys!) Ill post pics when its fully assembled.

Anyway thanks for all the feedback and Ill get some more pics up soooonish.

Thanks! The head is taken from the Blackorc warboss on foot. I removed the horns and now its a cool 40k helmet! I looted the idea way back from some one on waaagh forum i think.

@LiveforFun666: Yes pleas do! Glad to inspire As for the nob and big bases... YES, I love big bases and some times I use it for normal orks to! Fine, som more minis might get hit from a blastmarker but its worth it imo

Im painting the Big Mekk atm but Im not 100% sure hes gona be ready for tomorow when the campaign kicks off.... He's quite a handfull...

Hi there!

Iv ben playing some games with the army the past month and its ben awsome so far! I didnt think it would be a strong list at all since Iv only gone for "the rule of cool" approach So far its ben only ben close games with alot of twists and turns. The realy hardhitting unit in the army is of course the 20unit strong shootaboyz mob that always are accompanied by the BIG mekk and the two kanz in front. The gretchins havent done anything in any game yet. Exept killing two wraiths last game... Haha that whas just to cool!
Anyway hers some awful pics of the army so far. Next up on my to do list is finishing four more stormboyz and my new kill kanz to replace my old once in the picture. We will soon add 150 points extra to the campaigning to so I need to get to work with that to!

Im thinking of adding a mob of trukkboyz for the extra 150points what do ya think? I like speed

Btw checkout my friends and my Warhammer blogg at: http://warhammer.orbicularisoculi.be/#home

Awesome work! Especially love the gretchin (they're some of my favourite models GW make). I like how you've included the random kru gretchin from other kits. Adds to their mob feel. The hover disk for the mek is inspired as well.

These are a some really well painted orks! You couldn't tell from the overall shots, but the close-ups were very nice.

Awesome beginning for an ork army! I'm interested in seeing how it develops
