Hi guys,

I am presently the highest-ranked player of 'The Game' on the internet as I have developed the ranking system; amongst other aspects. I have faced some good opposition in the past and all have taught me something, but in all instances my challengers have failed - time-and-again - to see the big picture and raise the challenge of 'The Game' to the next higher level. I choose to play within the 'Theatre Cordillera' - a theatre arena of my own description, encompassing my great talent, intelligence, and wisdom - which forms around me when I step out onto the battleground.

I am Daniel Moszkowicz, The Troll-King of Chatsitea (not in cache memory). Pronounced chat-city, but read chat-site-a, taking the first letter in the alphabet. I am a master troll. I am the Troll-King within the Theatre Cordillera. As I've mentioned, I am presently the highest-ranked player and as such the greatest the internet has seen to date. However, it is likely that only with an association of such fine players as I - can this whole concept of playing 'The Game' reach the next level and become something more. (Internet whiz-kids are necessary, I do believe.) Taking the calibre of player - I have faced in the past - as an indication of how long this process will take...it is likely to take a long time.

Besides my cyberspace work, achievements and persona, the primary reason I have decided to join this site is that I am getting back to the fond roots of my youth with my returning interest in Warhammer 40K, and FB. I'm presently dusting-off a half-painted army of Orcs in FB, and trying to join the common thread in an odd assortment of unpainted Marines and Imperial Guard in 40K. (I may be asking for assistance from some of you guys to determine what are some of the minatures I actually have in 40K, where they belong, and what their profiles are.) The rulebook has come out too as I am in much need of familiarizing myself with how the games are played. It's all coming back to me, slowly. I'm 35 now, so the last time I played either game was probably in '92. So there's nearly two decades of knowledge to re-absorb. It's fun so far. Can't wait to have my first game of 40K soon.

I understand that there have been some rule changes and many new armies added in both games. One thing which hasn't changed - from what I observed at a recent visit to a games store - is the intelligence and good-mannered nature of the players of all-ages which continue to play these fine games.

Anyway, for the near-future I can see myself asking a lot of questions, here. Hopefully, I'll offer something positive to the discussions where I feel I can offer something original, fresh, and/or informative.

Thanks for the opportunity of allowing me to introduce myself.

Play with good manners,
Daniel Moszkowicz.

The 'don't feed trolls' policy on many webistes on the internet is a common one, now. That it exists here is not so surprising.

I think you'll find that I am unlike the many internet descriptions of trolls freely available on the internet thesedays. Simply replying to me is not "biting". Replying to me without intelligence or an informed view or wisdom is more like what you refer to as "biting" -- but then only with my reply if I decide to make it in the manner I have decided. Otherwise you are entering the arena and saying, 'I don't belong 'ere'. Hardly the words for someone facing the highest-ranked player on the internet of, 'The Game'.

I will gladly take your appearance as a welcome, and thank you for showing up to make it.

Thanks,
Daniel Moszkowicz.

Thanks for the welcome.

Firstly, I should present this: "Rolled" by Daniel Moszkowicz can be regarded as a wand or marker to point too, from my travels prior to arriving here:

...In the Learned Elder's speech a supernatural rhythm and cadence could be heard, and it caused a sudden fever to break over a young male in the crowd. Which consequently caused him to vomit and crap his pants as he sat in his place of privilege in the audience, listening and deciphering in the words of the speaker grand plans for the future.

He thought to himself that this experience is like theatre. Like the most powerful theatre he had ever witnessed. Like the kind of theatre which deserved a majestic place for its staging, and not this concrete bunker of sorts; not this grand cave. For it was like the theatre from another world. Like the kind of show which was first performed in a distant and well-lit place. Like the kind of show first performed in a distant place and which was lit-up by a master lighting technician.

In fact, as the young male though along these lines, he realized that this was theatre with a whole team of master collaboraters and contributors invloved with it. And, it was only at this moment that he realized that even he himself was part of the performance. For as the words full-of-poison reached his mind, he continued to sweat and stink, and the sweat and fluids escaping him held the toxins being purged from his body in this effective process.

He was like an interface to this particular show. A bit player without the bits or faculty to make more sense of all that he was hearing, but at least equipped with a kind of filter. Nevertheless, the information seemed to wash over him in a filthy, smelly mess of a staggered-kind of deluge.

He wanted desperately to join-the-dots of this perilous failure he was witnessing, but found that he himself was a failure for his troubles in trying. He needed Whitman in full-voice, glory, and in close proximity; but with this 'idealized figure' on a different continent there would be little help or assistance to make things better than they were presently - and so he just lost more fluids, became physically skinnier, and continued to smell like a bag of crap under the oppressive heat of one-hundred-percent humidity.

At the conclusion of the performance he awoke to the fact that many people seated near him had moved away to stand and sit in more pleasant locations. Locations which ?at this stage - would change with his movement into them. He didn't dare move lest he cause more offence and inconvenience. What a person they must think he is to have performed like this, and in this manner.

He shook his head slightly. Like in disappointment. And like emerging from another failed state of recognition.

And so as he sat in his hard chair he thought that all that was left for him to do now, was to reassemble the jumble of the few - words which stayed with him from this performance he experienced and felt like he played an unwilling part in. A jumble of words which he suddenly realized, formed a riddle in this order. A riddle which needed to be solved, however. In the same way he NEEDED to remove his soiled clothes to be able to smell himself like he was before tonight's construction.

He smiled to himself and shook his head differently from just earlier; a production is what it was, not the similar sounding and defining other word.

---

Now to your question: 'The Game' is concisely described and set-out by Hermann Hesse, in his 1943 book, titled; "Das Glasperlenspiel" or, "THE GLASS BEAD GAME". You can probably find out more about it on the internet using the preeminent "Google". Don't feel threatened or become anxious by what you may learn.

That you, Vindicator #9, have used quotation marks on the words and set the letters into capital, not to mention that you asked the question, all suggests that you have an enquiring, intelligent mind and that really there is nothing in your reading you cannot grasp or come to terms with. (Sorry if that sounded a little condescending. It wasn't meant too. I'm just offering you honour.)

Cheers,
Daniel Moszkowicz (The Troll-King of Chatsitea.)

Welcome to Dakka.

Alas, you would - and in fact are - wrong, Ketara!

The Chuck Norris I know, was once a semi-entertaining actor who relied on his martial arts skills to make it in Hollywood. He - or his star more accurately - certainly didn't rise as high as say Sylvester Stallone's or Arnold Schwarzenegger's, two other actors you may know who relied more on attributes above their acting skills. His acting wasn't much to speak about and his intellectual combat was - and is - on par with his most recent "box-office" successes. I do acknowledge he was once in the Air Force (probably where he advanced his physical fighting skills), and that he has since founded a martial arts school of his own. A school where he must therefore be the teacher. A teacher teaching nothing more than what is probably an over-hyped and over-expensive brand of what is likely to be a modern - or bastardized - form of martial arts, and therefore hardly the intellectual combat to which I refer.

So, never mind, we all make mistakes, Ketara. Let's hope you learn from yours, for as I said, it is 'The Game' - and since I have developed the ranking system I can - and have - therefore attributed the highest rank to myself, in the present context. That you have allowed me to have this enjoyable stretch would make me think that perhaps you are a slowly-rising player of 'The Game'. I had to start somewhere, too.
(See above responses to members of "Dakka Dakka" for my meaning of 'The Game', if you're still unclear, or you somehow doubt that you are wrong.)

Cheers,

I fail to see how it's changed, in fact. It's still the magnificently free and poetic "Star-Spangled Banner" to my eyes, and therefore not the "Southern Cross" alongside the "Union Jack" - of our history - of "Advance Australia Fair".

Perhaps it just hasn't refreshed, yet?

Thanks for the welcome, Sasori.

"Stiff competition," or also known to mean potent or strong competition is what I enjoy most, I must admit.

It is always a lot easier for me to appear in an "Introduction" section of a website and warrant attention through my story or stories, and replies to members who don't know me, or 'The Game', or whom haven't even heard of me and my magnificent power of playing, before my introduction.

I've made a note to visit the section to which you have pointed, Sasori. I look forward to it, eventually. I will do so after this introduction thread has run its course, or when I find my way out of it.

It's still an open question, so therefore it's only correct to ask it at such an opportunity as this - you Sasori - have presented: Should a player of 'The Game' - who has attained an advanced or high title lose it after suffering a loss in a particular contest? Should the title-name of say "Troll-King" be lost or removed after just one contest loss? Or can it be superseded by the player who may have won? Say, this other player rises one rank or simply supersedes the title of Troll-King by becoming Troll-Overlord for instance - or something higher in the feudal system of rank or position on a fantasy-world pastiche. Obviously "Snotling" is the lowest member, although you can have a "Snotling-Chieftain. Then, "Goblin" and then "Troll".

...And so you have some of the feudal system within each race. Maybe there will eventually be a race higher than Troll in the ranking sytem, or even a higher position than Troll-King? It's an organic thing; this assembly of the landscape of the framework Hesse gave those of us who see the value and merits of playing such a game, 'The Game'. (Note: I have used Troll as the highest race to date, to usurp the definition of the internet T-"Troll" we are all familiar with. A poetic form of justice, if you will.)

Anyway, apart from developing the ranking sytem, I am also working on other facets. Anyone wanting to contribute is free to do so. I have named certain shots - or retorts as you should understand them - after certain people who have inspired me or have been interested in 'The Game' in my past adventures on websites within this (www.) internet on the Globe.

Again, thanks for making me feel welcome, Sasori.

Your response is most welcome, Bishop of the Blackrose. That you "must" respond suggests that I have set something off in you which just needs a good scratch. Take care that you don't scratch yourself raw, for you talk a big game yet your grammer, spelling, and overall articulation leaves a lot to be desired.

In any event, let me get this right: ...You'll "spank" me, yet you apparently don't know what I am "talking about". How can that be?

I have never had a troll trainer per se (if that is what you are inferring?), but I have learnt from my previous opposition and attached their badges of vanquishment to my tunic. Suitably, your warning about me eating something "purple" is way off and confusing as I am not a hopeless eater.

Think what I did, you tell me? No, you're wrong sir, I have not eaten these "purple mushrooms", nor anything else which would cause to alter my mind or clarity of vision. My mind is sound and the words before me as they should be, and are in fact.

When I enter 'The Game' for a contest, you should know that the arena forms around my entry. There is no other way it can take place as I am currently the highest-ranked player. It is only here now because I brought it here by entering. So actually, you're seeing me now and doing little to impose yourself with this "death company chaplain" to which you refer. Therefore, I can only conclude that you're applying your authority here presently with an impotence I have seen many times, and vanquished easily, time and again.

Might I suggest, that you discard your "crozium arcanum" and learn to use the glass beads which are mandatory in 'The Game' to score a shot by retort. Additionally, you could have brought definitions of 'arena' and the 'tools' or 'items' needed to play -- in order to shift me off my balance, and claim a kind of retort-shot victory.

For now, you have done little and I can hardly even see you before me, in all honesty. As such I'll thank you for talking the talk, and not much else, really.

My friend, you appear to be playing not The Game, but rather the Glass Bead Game. To think that you are not aware of the true name of the game in which you lay claim to the title of highest ranked player is somewhat disturbing. As it would be foolish to boast of such honours in ignorance, one must but assume that this misdirection is obvious and deliberate.

You may be playing the Glass Bead Game, but when it comes to The Game, Chuck Norris is the Master, and cannot be defeated. Should you not happen to see him in your vicinity, then he is probably behind you. As such, I would advise treading with caution when laying claim to your title, whether it resides in a different game or no.
