Nearly everyone has at least a couple of tanks but to be honest I'm not that good at making them or painting them. Could someone give me some tips?

Check out the tutorials sub-forum; there are loads of weathering and painting tutorials on doing tanks, some of them are really good.

Your best bet is to build them like a factory would, in batches. Buy, say, 3 of the same tank, then build all the turrets the same, all the cahassis, etc.

Once you have 3 complete, get some cheapo spray paint from your model shop and give all 3 a blow-over at once. For uniformity across a unit, obviously use the same colour for each batch.

By now you should have 3 tanks that look similar (you'll have opted for some hatches open, or alternate weapon fits, maybe?), and now you can faff about with detailing/weathering etc slowtime, or quite possibly and more likely you have 3 tanks built and painted and ready to play with.

The picture's a bit fuzzy, sorry about that. I'll take on board what you're saying but I think I'll just get one Baal predator as £90 is an awful lot but thanks anyways.
These are my dads tanks; they're a lot better than mine.

I think you need to post some better quality photos first, so we can see more detail, but they look good so far.

Yeah, they're pretty nice models, although the paint job could use a little bit more detail, such as washes or shading.

We just painted it like that to show the orkys' shoddy workmanship in its true form. It's like painting epic models; splodge, splodge, splodge.

Sadly we didn't make that. We got it off ebay and added a few extra things on. But we did paint it!

things start to look better. Don't forget to add some rusty bits and shading (black) on the metal parts, like the basilisk, which could look a bit better that way, yet still orkish.
