I'm in need of some detail for my new army I'm starting. I've already decided on the paint scheme, as pictured, but i need some fluff/chapter name. I'd also really like to hear what everyone thinks of the paint job, (i know that some of the models aren't finished, i'm working on it.) and give me some help deciding what i should do about their bases. As for name and fluff, off the top of my head, how about

"Fists of Purity" - An Imperial Fists successor chapter (though their gene-seed is more directly decended from the Black Templars) are a crusading chapter of Adeptus Astartes. Originally tasked with patrolling the area to the galactic east of the Eye of Terror looking out for corruption in its many forms, they have recently begun to look beyond the Eye of Terror for corruption.

Seen as zealous and dedicated, the Fists of Purity are unflinching in their dedication to their cause. It is only the purest and most pious of Imperial planetary governors who do not feel threatened when the Fists of Purity enter his system, their ever watchful eyes carefully observing his every move.

This is something that i had been typing over the last couple weeks, i took the format from another website and kinda filled in the blanks.

Battle Cry: The Emperor's Fist fight mostly in silence, preferring the Ring of Gunfire and tactical data to the battlecry of most of their brother Space Marines. However, civilians that bore witness to the Emperor's Fist fighting Khorne marines report that they heard "Thrones for the Throne Skull!" accompanied by raucus laughter.

History.
After the Horus Heresy it was decided (in the Codex Astartes written by the Ultramarines Primarch Roboute Guilliman) that no single man should ever wield the power of a whole legion of Space Marine alone, and that each legion was to be split up into thousand men strong chapters. One of the lesser Heralded Successors was to be known of the Emperor's Fist. After the defense of Terra, and the Death of the Warmaster Horus, many of the Marines who fough and died with one another on Terra became honorable members of one another's chapter. When the decision was made to split the legions into chapters, these warriors requested that a chapter be formed to not only honor the sacrifice of Sanguinias, but to uphold the tradion of the Imperial Fists. Over the 10,000 years since the Heresy, the Emperor's Fist have remained mostly unchanged in their ways since their founding. They still suffer from the Red Thirst of the Blood Angels, and still use the Imperial Fist "Pain Glove" for punishment as well as meditation. The Emperor's Fist prefer to fight in a different manner than both of their Founding Chapters however, it is said that when defending the Imperial Palace the Emperor's Fists Founding Chapter Master (Michelus) happened upon an ancient and honorable combat strategy hidden deep in a forbidden archive. They call the tactic Shock an Awe, and have never revealed it's structure.

The Brotherhood of Pain: (my version of the Death Company)
The Emperor's Fist are steeped in honor from over a millenium of battle, throughout their history they have endured hardships that few other chapters can compare to. The worst of these tragedies was the cursed brotherhood. Shortly after the Heresy, approximatelty Fifty of the Emperor's Fist Marines left the chapter to serve the forces of Chaos. Michelus was crushed, and upon hearing the news left in a craft whose telemetry data pointed directly at the Maelstrom. Before he left, Michelus gathered his chapter and is quoted as saying "Brothers, we will not forget this Trechery, this Treason." Becuase of this, fifty marines who are either worthy of exile or some other punishment are instead aloud to remain in the chapter. They must endure the constant pain of the Pain Glove under their armor, and wish only a glorious death in combat. After a member of the Brotherhood dies in combat the Emperor's Fist Chaplain expunges all acts they have commited in life, and according to legend their geneseed is stored for use in the Adeptus Custodies, being of the most pure in faith to the immortal Emperor.

My two cents. I like the name..and the idea.

I dont like the red thirst idea..only because they are painted so regal. I dont think it fits their character "look" as well. Also if they are going to be a crusading chapter, they would be super vulnerable to the eyes of the outside world....and the red thirst at some point would be seen by mortals.

I like the paint scheme of your marines. Very regal and well done, very fitting of elite Space Marines.

As for your chapter lore, I do like it. The fusion of the Blood Angels and Imperial Fists is definitely a unique one, I like it overall. Though, some of your names are...well, they made me laugh. (Chapter Master Jackson Romeo? Detroitius? lol..) But, all seems pretty good.

As to the red thirst thing, a good way to fit it in is have it just be your chapters overwhelming zealotry! They ARE a crusading chapter, so you can represent the Red Thirst rules as them being overcome with their hatred for their enemy. That and your Death Company (which I find very awesome) makes you a very interesting Blood Angels "chapter".

haha I'm glad the names entertained someone. they're mostly names of my friends, Jackson is my sons name, and I'm originally from Detroit, MI.
