Drop Trooper with Demo Charge

The title speaks for itself. Just thought I'd make Dakka aware of this information.
Posted by CoolKidRock on Warseer:
So while I was up at my local GW I was talking with a Red Shirt and Black Shirt. I purchasing a Inquisitor and the guy asked if I new the Plastics for the GKs were coming out soon. I asked if that was now confirmed and he said Yes. I asked when, and he told me that they had beat out DE for release, but that DE was also confirmed as arriving by Christmas.
Evidently the information comes from a conference out in Las Vegas.
The facts I know from the conversation.
1. Inquisitor Dex will arrive before DE
2. DE by Christmas
3. Inquisitor Dex will be after 8th Ed Fantasy
4. One Codex to contain all Ordo's, Malleous, Xeno, and Heriric
5. Sisters will not be present in the Dex, but will have there own Codex at a later time.
6. Deathwatch/Alien Hunters will be present
Other info based on them not actually getting to see the Codex but talking with the people, sounds like you'll still be able to build a pure GK army, and sounds like it will be more useful. Points Drop on PAGKs, TGKs to stay about the same point cost but be better.
That's about all I know for now, more info to come as I get it.

I don't buy it for a few reasons.
WFB is next with a big summer release. That means that whatever is coming out next will be late summer/fall, so around August or September. I don't think there will be two 40k codexs released back to back.
There are plenty of rumors of DE (proposed weapons, what's in the codex, people seeing the minis, etc). There is virtually none for the =I=. I find that highly unlikely so close to the supposed release date.

Yah, why would they leave us sisters players out in the cold? They are supposed to follow the Ordo Herictus around and be shock troopers, so why would they get a separate codex away from the Inquisitors...? And it seems more wish list like. "Everyone except sisters gets a new book".

Too much doesn't make sense (even for GW) in regards to Inquis. rumors for this to be even remotely true.
I can see GK's getting a standalone codex but Inquisition. That's an even smaller group of agents than GK's. I can't see a non-Sisters Inquisition codex having enough in it to make it more than a pamphlet and so far even the smallest codex for 5th (as far as page count) is around the same page count or larger than the current DH/WH codeciies.
I can't see GW making a 30page codex for an army (and without IG or Sisters that's about all you'd have).

Unlikely IMO. We'd have heard something more concrete than this if it was coming that soon. With DE we know the book is at the printers, and models have been seen. =][= has virtually zero concrete info of that magnitude.

This doesn't match up with what we've heard for some time now.
Not a lot of it makes much sense AND goes against what we HAVE been told concerning the next =I= codices...
I don't know about this...

Thats why this is bugging me. Nids had the same no leak problem. has virtually no hard evidence sounding an update besides "I heard it" rumors. I wouldnt bet on a new dex till 2011.

So much ignorance in this thread....
There have been plenty of rumors about Grey Knights, certainly far more than Dark Eldar.
The Sisters of Battle are NOT Ordo Hereticus. They frequently work for them, but they are very much a branch of the Ministorum. So from that standpoint, making a codex split between the Sororitas and the Inquisition makes perfect sense, and jives well with previous statements by GW that Daemon and Witch Hunters will not be merged.

Well one source on Warseer that is confirming GK is next is Daemon Prince Adramalech. He reportedly has a good history of his "visions" being right.

I believe GK are the next MEQ to be released next.
But i dont believe it'll be the next 40k codex.
GW have simply released way too many MEQ back to back.

Posted by me two days ago in the current Dark Eldar thread http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/180/291960.page , the current Grey Knights thread http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/330/283957.page and, without the quote, by Brother SRM yesterday http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/300/289395.page . Seems you missed all relevant threads when checking. And the rumour was shot down by people in the know quite soon, so I didn't start an extra thread for this rumour at that time. I guess, three threads are sufficient to discuss this.

"Plenty" of rumors?

The thing that gives this some ground is (to me anyway) is that GW already has both DE and Inquisition done, and are just choosing which to release first. Their release schedule is pretty flexible.
