So, a long time ago (my first post),gave i had showed you guys a tyrant guard with a venom cannon and supposedly considered it a hive guard. now that being my first post, you guys got me thinking on how to make it more Hive guardish through several comments. I tried it out and if I must say, I think it came out pretty good. Its made of the first part of the venom cannon, the barrel of a stranglethorn cannon, flesh hooks, the large spike on the bottom of the Heavy Venom cannons barrel and a piece of chitin. Now, probably most of you will notice the 'ammo arm' the most, i didnt want to risk breaking anything else off this model as i dont want it to be scarred. I think of it as an Alpha Hive Guard (because its bigger than the Hive guard and the arms are more muscular).thanks a lot for the helpful comments, and CC is most welcome

can we get some pics of the arm joint where the strangler goes into the body?

how did you handle the armor plates over top the scytal arms? Did you keep them or cut them?

I think it looks very good, very promising. I've got 2 Tyrant guards (from 4 total) that I was thinking of converting.

I like it. One minor isssue that I have is that the gun looks a bit heavy and large compared to the rest of the guy.

It does look overbalanced, a shorter gun would fix that (although may not be easy to do without some greenstuff) - otherwise I like it.

@King88mob, i removed the shoulder plating from the model and i will try to get he photo of the joints asap.

@Munch, well, im not 100% on the size of the gun, ive never seen a Hive guard model IN person, but looking at the picture on GW (link below) ide say its more or less the same size.

Maybe it's the position of the gun. It would better if it was holding it like a haevy bolter. Also, it looks like he's aiming. Aren't the hive guard's guns supposed to be able to track targets?(Sorry, I don't have my codices with me so I can't check)

typically they are blind. but since i have a unit of 2, i wanted them to have their own uniqueness. ill take some proper photos, possibly a 360 degrees view album. ill show you guys asap.
