This is very nice, a great use of the building sprues. I made one of these - much less grimdark, though - for playing heroscape since my son has bad dice rolling habits. Palmdrops, table skitters, flinging - you name it and he did it. The tower stops all that and leaves the collective dice in one spot. Works great.

Mine's a tad small at 3"x3"x12" and the courtyard for mine is definitely smaller than this one, but can still roll about 20 dice at a go. I used foamcore for the basic construction and covered it in craft wood for a "hill fort" kind of look.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

I do not want to steal this thread so I will just start an orky dice tower thread so as not to step on any toes.

Again thanks for the inspiration.

Wow, this is a great idea! I wonder if it would help solve my bad dice rolling by being completely (or nearly) random

Can't wait to see it fully painted!

Would we be able to get a top view of it?

And out of curiousity how long it take to get to the bottom ?

A second or two, watch the video if you can..
BTW, how many dice can you CONCIEVABLY roll in this?

200-250, using "Pirates of the (Spanish Main,Crimson Coast, etc)" dice..
I was wondering if you could give some basic dimensions on it?

About 4x4x10 on the tower..

<Rarity> I am not whining, I am complaining! Do you want to hear whining?

Thiiis is whiiiiining! Oooo, this mini is too expeennsive! I'm' going brrookee! Can't you make it cheaper? Oh, it's resin and not metal anymore! Why didn't you take it off the sprue first? That's gonna leave a pour spout, and the FLGS is so far away, WHY DO I HAVE TO SUPPORT IIIIIIIT?! </Rairty>

Why not? I had a fair amount of fun building and painting it, and folks oohing and ahhing over it, but in the end it really doesn't fit any of the armies I play terribly well(Well mebbe, the Fallen), and if I built it again, there are a few things I'd do differently, and probably better, and have as much more even more fun.

Add to that, the detail that I'm a craftsman of sorts, I'm -used- to making up stuff for sale, and it pays for the rest of my hobbies...

Besides, there's the new Bastions and Aquilla Shrine to play with now...

My only issue would be the spikes on the bottom where the dice come out. I'm betting that my stick you relatively often, or get damaged with frequent careless dice pickups. Awesome though.
