There is, and has been for some time. It hasn't been supported since GW issued a C&D order however.

EDIT:

For those of us who've lost horribly, when should we add new challengers?

NECRON DESTROYER LORD VS WOLF LORD= WOLF LORD- 3-0 (CLOSE COMBAT...NOT EVEN CLOSE!) :(

TAU COMMANDER VS SM CHAPTER MASTER= SM CHAPTER MASTER- 4-1 (CLOSE COMBAT)

I'm starting to think this wolf lord guy is way unbalanced!

anyway. wolf lord gets a 3rd round bye (random dice roll d4)

round 3 results by saturday night.

for those who want to play again, start sending in units now. the next little tourney can start as soon as sunday!

wow that one went on FOREVER!

VENERABLE DREADNOUGHT VS SM CHAPTER MASTER= VENERABLE DREADNOUGHT 3- IMMOBILIZED, 1 WEAPON DESTROYED (CLOSE COMBAT)

I gotta say, being Venerable really saved its ass! Several times over! Hopefully it will help in its next battle!

So the next battle is Wolf Lord Vs Ven Dread!

STAY TUNED!!!

Okay second attempt.

DAEMON PRINCE (from C:CSM)

WS7, BS5, S6, T5, W4, I5, A4, Ld10, Sv3+

WARGEAR: CLOSE COMBAT WEAPON, WINGS (Moves as Jump Infantry), MARK OF TZEENTCH (+1 to Inv Save, included below; may use 2 psychic powers a turn)

SPECIAL RULES: FEARLESS, ETERNAL WARRIOR (immune to ID), 4+ INV SAVE (including MoT), MONSTROUS CREATURE (cc attacks ignore armour, 2D6 for armour penetration rolls, etc)

PSYCHIC POWERS: WARPTIME (Psychic test at the start of ANY player turn; may reroll hits AND wounds for that turn - against vehicles, it only affects the To-Hit rolls), GIFT OF CHAOS (Used at the start of the Prince's turn, take a Psychic test, targets a single model within 6". Roll a D6, if the roll is GREATER than the models base toughness, the model is removed as a casualty, NO SAVES ALLOWED. A roll of 6 is always a success, and the power does not affect any model without a Toughness value.)

PREFERENCES: USE WINGS TO FLY WITHIN 18" OF OPPONENT, CAST WARPTIME ON THE FOLLOWING TURN, FLY INTO ASSAULT RANGE, ATTACK IN CLOSE COMBAT. IN SUBSEQUENT ROUNDS OF CC, CAST WARPTIME AT THE START OF EVERY TURN, AND USE GIFT OF CHAOS AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE.

Maybe he'll do a bit better, if he positions himself correctly.

Yeah, Wolf Lords pretty much destroy anything. Space Wolf Heroes are like that.

On a side note, the talisman only nullifies powers that directly affect the lord. Just in case that wasn't clear from what Terminus wrote. (I went back to look at the profile and noticed that it could be misinterpreted).

One thing: There's no caveat for unique pieces of wargear. That is, you deny the character wargear that is not available to their respective army, but you don't prevent the character from taking a weapon that they wouldn't normally be allowed to purchase.

Many of these items, such as Force Weapons and such, have no points cost associated with them, leading to some issues.

I would suggest this solution:
Characters may only select weapons and wargear that would normally be available to the army's basic "commander" unit (as detailed in the Army List).
Alternatively, they may pay +40pts to swap their base wargear with that of another HQ unit.

Also, I would include a list of what is considered the "most basic HQ unit". While I believe I understand what you mean, this is a somewhat vague determination.

EDIT: Also, why can't Fleet be taken with SNP? Chaos Spawn have both those rules. I'm not sure why you think they're incompatible.

You make a good point. I have only recently acquired the SM codex and haven’t really gotten into it yet so I don’t know what wargear cost what, but can they get Force Weapons? I guess a librarian can right?
I had actually made an entry for force, power and rending weapons and forgot to include them but the point cost would be:
Force Weapons- 15 points
Power Weapons- 10 points
Rending Weapons- 10 points

Basic HQs:
Space Marines: Captains, Chaplains, Librarians.
Daemons/Chaos Space Marines: Daemon Prince, Chaos Lord, Sorcerer.
Tryranids: Hive Tyrant, Brood Lord.
Imperial Guard: Commander, Commissar.
Tau: Commander, Ethereal
Orks: War Boss … not sure, what else do they have?
Witch/Daemon Hunters: Inquisitor Lord, Grey Knight Captain
Eldar: Farseer, Wraith Lord???
Dark Eldar: I can’t remember what they are.
Necrons: Necron Lord

As far as the rules compatibility goes, after further consideration, I think you might be right about SNPs compatibility with Fleet. It’s hard to separate what the rules state and the spirit of the rule sometimes. Fleet used to be the “Run” rule. Now it just lets you charge after the run. So and far as what the rule states, I see no reason why they shouldn’t work together. Keep in mind, I don’t have my rule book in front of me and am going off of memory so if I am wrong about the rules let me know.

I am glad we have had so much participation thus far in our Micro Battle Thread. Hopefully we can continue and possibly form a new category as I would like to expand to squad battles and some other things in the future. So I would just like to thanks for your support and let keep the fun moving and I will try to keep things rolling as smoothly as possible for those who were brave enough to participate in the most harrowing battles on this site!

P.S. WOW!!! I've been promoted! Now I'm a "Numberless Necron Warrior"! Does that mean I can't count?!

Orks: Warboss, Big Mek, Weirdboy
Eldar: Farseer, Autarc, Khaine Avatar
Dark Eldar: Commander, Hemoncule
Glad for helping ^^
