That's really cool, the way you guys had a secondary mission inside the necron tomb-world. Would love to do something like that

Incredible to see so many nicely painted models involved in such an epic battle. Spotted a fair bit of forgeworld stuff as well

Awesome stuff guys! Hope to see more in the future.

That battle looks incredible! I especially like the Necron tomb sub-map; reminds me of a Starship Troopers game I used to play at Historicon that had a second table underneath the main one for the bug holes. Just a shame more action didn't go on down there! Also, it's great to see a huge game with great terrain and beautiful models; it's rare to get two let alone all three!

Chicago South-suburbs! Yay! Home-brewing, yay! I'm from South Holland. I'd ask to come over and play on your magnificent table, but I am living in China this year...Thanks for the still-photo report. Youtube is blocked here so I can only see the old-fashioned style of reports, which you have compiled remarkably well. The two-tiered game table makes for an exciting story. I hope it was as fun to play as it was to read.

So... who do I have to kill to get invited to one of these gaming sessions?? My family lives in the south 'burbs you know... I could always invent an excuse to get down there.

Man, what fun. LOVE the orks but it all looks spectacular!

that was awesome stuff. Great terrain, good looking models and the battle was awesome.
Sorry, but I have to ask, is there a tutorial/post anywhere for the Necron orb?

Nope, no tutorials.

Most of the necron terrain was done by Art. The Ressurection Core, modelled from the Dawn of War piece is just black foamcore glued to a green box from the container store.

The Necron orb is black foamcore with a styrofoam sphere from a crafting store that was spraypainted with sparkly green RC car paint.

Wow what a fantastic batrep. I wish I get to play this lind of game someday. Marneus' run towards the core was epic (although I am glad he bit the bullet gloriously).

I absolutely loved the terrain, the armies, and the whole idea behind it... but m favorite part had to be the cookies.
