Vaktathi (or anyone), do renegades and heretics definitely have access to all Baneblade variants? I'm looking at battlescribe and the options don't seem to be there?

Cheers.

No it doesn't have access to all baneblade variants, just as it says in Battlescribe.

Yeh 36" range is a slight issue. As is high toughness (8+) MCs and gargantuan creatures.
I really like the covenant of tzeentch. BS2 snapfire is just excellent for the points people are quoting.
Maybe instead of one hades autocannon battery and one thudd gun battery, there could be a bs4 and bs3 laser destroyer rapier batteries.

I'm not sure I'm sold on laser destroyers yet, I'll need to test them out. They don't seem to have enough shots to get past things like jink and MC's with large number of W. With the new vechicle damage chart, even if they are likely to pen, you have to roll a 6 to explode. Because of this, I find myself looking more and more to things that can strip HP more reliably rather than those few high pen chance shots. Also, keep in mind laser destroyers are non-vehicle ordnance so they can't snap shot if I remember correctly, so you loose the AA aspect and attaching IC for BS2 snap shot trick.

What some are missing, is that BS2 snapshots on someone without the BS3 upgrade, it means you are always shooting at full efficiency.

Flyers/MFCs are as easy/hard to take down as a similar chassis ground target.
Go to ground? no reason never NOT to. (unless you are in assault range)
Moving heavy weapons? might as well.
Overwatch that trumps even tau-its literally a free shooting phase.

Of the three tzeencth powers (daemon of, covenant and mark), I like this the best. the daemon is a pure defense boost, the make is a worse defense boost-this one actually opens up tactical options.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.

Cov of T will also make some of the larger squads dangerous to charge. 50 mutants with lasguns overwatching on BS2 will kill about 4 marines charging them.

Speaking of laser destroyers, anyone emailed Forgeworld yet to confirm the AP for this latest book? They keep changing from book to book.

One chants out between two worlds: Fire, walk with me."

"You listen to me. While I will admit to a certain cynicism, the fact is that I am a naysayer and hatchetman in the fight against violence. I pride myself in taking a punch and I'll gladly take another because I choose to live my life in the company of Gandhi and King. My concerns are global. I reject absolutely revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method... is love. I love you Sheriff Truman." - Twin Peaks

Does the book have anything about the original legions or chapter tactics or the like? Looks like a lot of cool stuff for chaos since GW doesn't seem to want to touch them.

Sorry but if you look at their rules they are AP1.

It's a 5 to explode with Laser Destroyers.

Here are a few overviews and reviews of the book from a few respectable sources

I especially like the video which gives you a good visual
One of the things I dont like about the FW books is that they see to waste pages with artwork. Sure, the artwork is great, but I dont need page after page of pictures of the same tank with different color schemes. i feel that page space could be better filled like with additional units for example. One or two pictures of each item should suffice. Of course, thats just my opinion and I'm sure some would disagree with me.

Welllll... It is listed all over IA13 as ap1 but in the IA1 2nd ed FAQ it says laser destroyers should be Ap2 wherever they appear. You could argue that that FAQ doesn't apply to IA13 so that two things with the exact same name have different profiles even though it has been clarified a recent book and not in this brand new one. That's a bit too lawyerish for me so I'll be sticking with Ap2 until a FAQ comes out for IA13.

There are a few differences between weapons with the same name in the IA13 book, such as the Colossus Siege Bombard which has strength 8 instead of 6 and Ignore's Cover which I think is different/better than the updated Death Korps of Krieg version?

If the laser destroyer is AP2 it really makes them a pointless downgrade on the Spartan. However at AP1 it is a decent upgrade for anti-armour over the other sponson.

I wont be taking any anyway... so I wont have to worry about which AP is correct

So many points for everything I want...

Two Sicarans seem really nice to me.

36' range seems fine on the Hades to me.

On moon miranda.

Two sicarans should be real solid, as long as there's other armor to help take some of the AT fire, otherwise an opponent is going to dump everything on those two.

The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

Would you recommend any of those super ugprades that you can take per 1,000 points for them?

Most of them are extremely situational, usually giving a bonus against a specific codex or type of terrain or boost nearby units with specific upgrades. For a general all-comers list, the only one that might consistently be useful that doesn't depend on your opponent or taking things like an Icon of Wratch on nearby units might be Maelstrom Raider that would allow you to outflank one of the Sicarans if you're looking for a threat vector like that, but I'd probably want them on the board turn 1 consistently.
