We have updated the first post with the new extra weapons for the Warriors, what do you think about these axes?

Spoiler button still don't work in the first post so it's still an heavy page... sorry for the inconvenience. Once it works we will add it to make everything lighter.

What extra weapons should have the Dwarf Rangers?
Dual Weapons and Two Handed Weapons are for Dwarf Berserker, so we should make something different... we are waiting for your ideas!

We are planning for resin-metal production, follow Artisan Guild Miniatures on Facebook:

Since the ball and socket seems to be universal, I would suggest including a separate pack of arms with RPG weapons. Things like broadswords, flails, mace, dagger, and a trhowing axe. Since it's for RPG or maybe special characters you really just need one of each.

Weapons for the rangers, maybe pick axes or short swords?

EDIT: Oh!!!! Please do a few arms for both left and right of punching fists, like boxing type positioning for the arms. Maybe with some brass knuckles or spiked hand guards or something. This type of thing is almost non-existent.

Please dont do to much miniatures with the standing one feet on a rock etc variant. I know many gamers from our group and friendly groups which are no fan of this "in this time popular" pose mostly for characters. But may be thats a regional thinking
And if it is possible please add one additional arm which would be an alternativ for the "pointing arm" version.
As owner of a big Dust army, I am tired that all my unit officers pointing at some point
May be this form of constructiv critique is allowed
The axes are fantastic! Great design and idea.

It's an interesting idea, but the balljoint system is not universal for all the races. A Dwarf and a Alfar have different balljoint size for example. Making a pack of extra weapons for roleplaying game could be an idea anyway, people can always cut away a weapon (or a hand) from a model and insert it.

Ahah yes that's true, in some armies you have half of the miniatures pointing somwhere
I tried to rotate the pointing arm and you are free to use it to hold the axe-gun without issue. You can rotate the armi and position it under the blade, in that way it's hidden and it hold the gun like the other arms

Hi there, it is probably just perspective but does the lady dwarf have her pupil recessed for painting purposes? Or is it just a visual thing to show where the pupil should be?

These designs are all stunning! More High Fantasy than the LotR Dwarves, not as cartoony as the Warhammer or Mantic ones, and looking like proper lean, mean fighting machines! I'd second the suggestion for bare hands/knuckledusters on some arms (maybe the Rangers, rather than fighters?) as if anyone's going to go into battle just to punch stuff, it looks like it would these guys!

Thanks! This is great to hear
We are not looking to make a cartoon army, but the fact that models are small there's no a lot of choices... when you have the model in your hand, at the right size, they don't looks soo cartoon.
Another important thing is the color, it can really change the feel of the model
Maybe knuckedusters for Dwarven Berserkir?

They would defintely fit the bill for a Berserker-type model!

I agree that you do need to emphasise proportions and such at 28mm, but nevertheless I still think these look a fair bit more dangerous and 'realistic' (as much as one can apply the term to Dwarves) than the competiton; I'm not normally a fan of Heroic Scale Dwarves but these will definitely be on my shopping list in future if I get around to doing some more stunties!

The female is again a great sculpt.
My compliment!
Could you please tell us which feet to eye scale it is?
May be the base is 25mm?

Even if the scale is not 100% final (we make some adjustments in the end probably), it's pretty there. The round base is larhe 25mm at the bottom
What do you all think about the current scale? I'd love bigger dwarves but it's not nice if they are tall like most of the 28-30mm humans, otherwise we should make 40mm or more barbarians.

I vote for bigger dwarfs, like the bob olley ones.
Who says, that dwarfs must be little 1 meter tall man in comparison?

Right now every miniature have the iris sculpted because it should be easier to pant and on the non-painted model it makes a nice shadow that highlight it. Plus it give some souls to the miniatures in our opinion
If in the next test prints they are not good it will be easy to make a normal smooth eyeball

In RotVar! universe (our games setting, both for RPG and WARGAME) a dwarf is no more than 1,55m, but you would not confuse it with a short man, as a dwarf if twice larger.

1,55m dwarf against 1,80m for a human is a very good scale!
If 1,80m is 30mm in scale than all is great

This earl stage picture is just for size comparison purpose, what do you think about it?
Everything in the picture is work in progress, the best, his pose, the rider and also the base!
Is the beast too small or too big? Let us know

You guys are putting out some fantastic stuff - just sort that whole pesky resin/metal/plastic production thing and you'll see some seriously large sales numbers!

Thanks again Alpharius, let's see what we can do.
We would start at least with the full set of 10 warriors, 10 rangers, 3 boar riders and a Wood troll. I am still waiting (since weeks) some casting companies to reply us back.
What material would you suggest for a new company (based also to our miniatures)? I like resin mostly.

Resin would make the most sense, most likely.

There are plenty of good companies out there that could help you out!

With the quality of your renders, I would like it to be resin. HIPS would be cooler, but for a company like yours, I thinks resin fits better. Anyway, avoid those restic and cheap plastics that are out there. They won't do justice to your sculpts!

I would like to see resin miniatures in the quality of alkemy or anvil industries miniatures.

For the moment we are trying to find the perfect solution for the Dwarven warbeast, not even sure how many of them sculpt.

We had in mind 3 female Boar Riders and 3 male Boar Riders. Is that too little? too much?

Every boar will have balljoints for each limb, so everyone has the freedom to create his pose using our preset. Even the riders will be multypart, compatible with the other dwarf (male and females).

Thanks! We will move to the Barbarians soon! Right now we are finalizing the basical dwarves for a starter army let us know what you would like for the upcoming miniatures!

Thanks!

Even if not nearly finished, we wanted to share with you the Woar beast, also known as Wulfhog.
This creature will be mounted by dwarves (and maybe barbarians in future, with custom saddle and armor). It's just a T-pose, it means that it's in a early symetrical stage and so not posed. The final Wulfhog Riders will be very dynamicals. This is not for a Hero, it's just what we call "mount" for normal infantry. Please let us know how many of these riders you would like! Of course we will make the same numers of female and male dwarves riders for them. We had in mind 3males and 3 females, what would you suggest?
Do not forget to follow our page on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/ArtisanGuildMiniatures

With every detail in the model we really want to tell you a story. It's not a secret that Dwarves love Ale by the way

Once it is posed, that will look awesome! Although I'd love for the barrel to be a separate optional bit, so it could be left off if you want to run multiples of these (otherwise they'd look too similar).

Wow some truly stunning sculpts and so glad you decideded to change the quality of print, the boars look amazing but will you be adding some movement to the designs ? I only ask as if they are all like this they might seem a little stagnant.

Will be watching this closely.

LDD - Yes, see here

Although I wish you'd said "dynanimals"

I see you did describe this as an infantry (not hero) mount, so a way to vary the accessories a bit, or just making them less obvious if repeated (that barrel) would be great!
