Guys, there will be surely 3 backpack variants and every one will have different accessories, and pose. For every pose you will also be able to change the rotation of the limbs, change the rider parts etc.
We plan to make 3 males and 3 females, what do you think about 2 musicians (with a drum on backpack), 2 lumber+hunt (backpack with game and wood cutting axe) and one with 2 beer?

We are currently in the sculpting phase, resin-metal production will follow.

Once it is posed, that will look awesome! Although I'd love for the barrel to be a separate optional bit, so it could be left off if you want to run multiples of these (otherwise they'd look too similar).

That's a very good point - seconded!

I think you could add a lot of variety with stuff like that. Different bags, armor bits, broken tusks, ect.

Sounds great on the bits!! I'd prefer a single musician and 2 of the other variants (since you'd usually have only one drummer in a group).

they would be
1 male musician backpack
1 male lumberjack backpack
1 male ale-barrel backpack

1 female musician backpack
1 female lumberjack backpack
1 female ale-barrel backpack

But you could have six of them and equip one musician with normal weapons... it's just on the backpack

More fantastic sculpts OP. However, I'll have to second that comment about the shoes on the dwarf rangers, specifically the square toecaps, I can see you're going for a certain aesthetic, but dem boots look poor compared to the rest of the model imho. I would chamfer or fillet the toe plate, perhaps wrapping them so they continue around the side of the shoe, adding bulk to the foot which would suit the model nicely.

Really lovely stuff, the wood troll makes me want him just to paint!! shame I'm not into fantasy ranges :-( although if ever a sci-fi arms set was available for those dwarves I'd certainly be buying up as I love the faces on all your models and I really enjoy painting things like that! :-) keep it up you've got some great things happening.

Thanks, I would try something like that soon

You are not the only one that notice it, and after one year (yes the ranger is old!) it was really obvious that we had to change that little plate. Honestly I didn't liked it too, just waiting the right moment to change it.
All the renders are long to made (even if that's just a little difference) so.... here they are !

Even if not finished, we wanted to share with you the work in progress of the Wulfhog Rider. While the beast pose is almost complete, the rider right now is just a mix of the other dwarves. In the end each of the raiders will be new dwarves in ranger armor, 3 males and 3 ladies.
The weapon is not final too.

The Wulfhog Riders will come with a multypart Wulfhog (body and balljointed limbs), tusks as separate parts (all differents), bapack (dwarven drums, lumberjack, ale barrel), and the rider itself, separated from the beast and made from several pieces (legs-torso-arms-head-shoulderpads-weapons).
In this way you can choose the beast you prefer, tweak the pose rotating the limbs (or mixing with the others), choose a rider, mix or swap the rider parts with other dwarves and make a really unique rider. Don't forgeto to follow us on http://www.facebook.com/ArtisanGuildMiniatures

I'm not even sure what I'd use these for, but I'm going to buy some many of all of your Dwarves once they get released!

May have to pick up some too. They would make great role playing figures. Love the character in the figures.

These look fantastic. I would be concerned about the boar that is standing on one leg though. That's a lot of resin with such a small contact point.

I was going to mention the single leg too, but I like the dynamic pose and would just model mine on rocky terrain to support it more (better than an integrated "foot on rock" from the caster, imo).

I like the boars really well, except for one detail: how do they eat? Their large tusks would keep their mouths well away from a source of food, without a trunk to lift it up like an elephant. Just saying, it sort of breaks the look a bit. I can see myself cutting them down to shorter tusks.

Really good point! What I can imagine for the Wulfhog is to place his tusks under a carcass to leverage it (sorry for my bad english), thank raise the head up and make it falling in his mouth. The Wulfhog is a carnivore predator in that setting
I admit I invented it right now... it's sort of a caricatural boar

The beast is multypart with balljoint too, so you could rotate the body and legs as you would and use a handmade rocky or woody base to make it works perectly. If you want to make the same pose as the render, I think it could be strong enough... if not, there's always the base option, as the others said

In case we make a crowdfunding for our Miniature line, how many would be interested in having the Dwarven ladies?

Right now, our plan is to make for each unit class:
5 Multypart males (one with captain-champion option)
5 Multypart females (one with captain-champion option)
1 Command Upgrade Box (contains male and females arms with stendard and instruments for musicians).

5 multypart models are fully customizable and with different boxes is easy to make different troopers, in this way combining a normal troop boxes with the Command upgrade allow you to make a male and a female command groups, both with musician and stendard.
Please, give us your opinion

With the Ladies for each units there still are two options (we will call them A and B):

A: Each Unit Box have 5 multypart models and a option for the champion. Upgrade box contains Musician arm and Stendard arm.

B: Each Unit Box have 5 multypart models. Each Command Unit Box have other 5 multypart troopers with the option for stendard and musician.

Also... Rangers are working with ranged weapons and warriors with weapon+shield, but we planned warriors with 2h-weapons and rangers with spear+shield. In this case would be nicier as upgrade box that contains just weapons, or a different box?
In the last case there will be "Gunaxe Rangers box" and "Spera Ranger box" (not final name).

Ok, so we are preparing everything we need to launch or project! There will be almost DOUBLE of the Dwarves to be unlocked. For example the (male) Dwarven Ranger Unit will count 10 models, not just 5. This is organized in two boxes, one contain 5 Dwarvem Rangers, one contain 5 Dwarven Ranger (for a total of 10 unique models!) Command Group (option for musician, stendard and captain).
We also want to keep some models for the launch. This could requiere a few months to be achieved but me an Francesca are going to give you our best!

Is the project going to be limited only to dwarves? Or are you planning other things?

We would like to make a full range of races, including Orcs, Firbolgs, barbarians (humans) and others. If we can, maybe we start with two factions (would be dwarves and orcs).

Dear lord you have managed to surpass expectations with your new creations!

What are your plans for your minis after you create a way to produce them? Just alternative miniatures for Fantasy games or do you plan to make a game to compliment your range of miniatures?

Regarding the males, I've never really felt the need to mix in females to my units of dwarfs (in their background / fiction, it's often just the males fighting) - so for me personally I would actually probably prefer the option to get all males (so if you're breaking them into 5 of each, that shouldn't be an issue).

Will you have any 3d prints and / or test casts, as this can really help with showing people that the renders will look good as miniatures and that you're able to execute them (or have others do so)?

I'd never thought I'd see the day when a Rhode Islander as prominent as RiTides would be anti-female!

I don't know if 'all male' and 'all female' boxes would be fiscally feasible - but if cast in resin, who knows?
