Hello all DakkaDakka members ,

I got slightly bored this weekend and couldnt think of anything to occupy me. I have been wanting to try my hand at necrons for a while now , so popped down to my local GW to pick up a battleforce.

I got going on saturday and here is the progress i have made with the warriors so far. Hope they look ok , ps i am still working on the quality of my pictures as they have not been very good the last few posts i have made.

Any coments / critism / tips will all be very welcome.

The bases are nicely fitting the army. Paint job seems pretty good for rank and file troops. Nice all round.

You have any HQ or other troop types painted?

I have just finished a Scarab swarm and will post pictures a little later , also i have a Destroyer in the process of being built. I should have that finished by around thrusday if not friday. I havent purchased a HQ option yet untill i complete the battleforce otherwise i go off task and end up not finishing squads.

Will try and get the scarabs up at about 5 tonight as will be watching football all afternoon

Looks pretty good as the standard Necron paint scheme. Keep it up man. Someday I too will start a Necron army, Ive wanted too for a long ass time now lol

Hey thanks for all of the great comments guys , any ideas on how i can improve them or something you would change on them.

@KingCracker : yes i have been the same always wanting to but never really did , im glad i have now i just having these as a quick army to paint and get on the table really thats why there in the standard scheme , is there anything i could change them to make them a little less standard without going to far overboard ?

Just two things...

1. From the camra angle, it looks like they are all staring at me. Is that intentional, or am I just parinoid. I'm just used to necron heads looking fowards.

2. They are standing upright. Shouldn't they be hunched over?

Thanks for the reply , I think its just the camera angle that is making it look as if they are staring at you because their heads are all positioned in different ways.

Yeah i know there all mostly standing up quite straigh this is because i wanted them to look as if they were just preparing to head into battle if you get what i mean.

I have completed one Scarab swarm last night and completed building the Destroyer.

Ok everyone , i have decided that i wanted to give my army a slightly spanish theme as i am supporting the spanish football team this world cup. However i dont want to put bight red and bright yellow onto the models in fear of it looking out of place. I was thinking of using merchite red and red ink for the red and sunburst yellow and yellow ink for the yellow , i dont really know where to apply this i was thinking maby on 4 models with red faces and 4 models with yellow faces in an 8 man squad. Also i want it to look as if it is part of them metal if you understand what i am getting at.

If any of you could help me with this idea or give me some advice or tips on how to do it that would be very helpful.
