Cool. Welcome to the hobby. You might have to try some more blending on the blades.

when life gives you lemons, make hot sauce, then sit back and watch the world figure out how you did it.

It's your first mini, you still don't know if you are good or not ^^

For example, the red/dark claw. If you thin your paints more, and use more layers of different colours, the result will be smoother. But of course more layers take more time. Most times getting good results doesn't depend on how good you think you are, but in how much time you can spend in painting a mini.

That's a nice start.

Welcome!

Ya, thats pretty damn good for a first try. I mean, really good. Definitely read some painting tutorials, those will help you out ALOT. Hell even reading some advanced ones you will pick up things from them. Good luck

I think the carapace needs a new color to compliment the chitin. Bone usually looks really good with green. You could even give it like a red wash for a very strange and new affect.

That's pretty good actually!

I like the natural looking colour scheme.

Blending is a good technique to learn but if you do a lot of Gaunts it is a bit of a waste of time IMO, better to save it for the larger creatures.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...
