That would be interesting but the problem is that Death/Chaos/Destruction would be in a race to screw each other over ASAP so I really can't see them working together in any way.

It's funny that the order is winning, as everything GW fluff wise is always the good guys being overwhelmed.

I can only imagine if you did the same for 40k (imperium vs whatever groupings of non-imperial types), the opposition would be annihilated by the 8 bajillion Space marine players. Though in the fluff the imperium is always doing badly.

A matter of perspective I suppose. I wanted to play Bloodbound but had my storm cast painted first.

I think this will be the case. Honestly going by the comments I think GW is not "happy"? with how much order is dominating I think. Since I think they want the outcome to be more spicy so they can churn out more war stories and books.

They can churn them out even if order wins 100% games so why would they be not happy? They deliberately created fluff that ensures neither side can archieve total victory. They don't have to worry about results being too lopsided.

I actually think an order win would be the best result for the fluff. A dissapointing aspect of the story so far is the post apocalyptic nature of it all. The novels refer to all these wonderful civilisations that used to exist, but have been reduced to boring nothingness by chaos.
A new flourishing civilization would be a geat way to create a new human faction, with the actions of the players in this campaign built into its history.

I doubt its about the story, I suspect its about making the campaign better. Right now its pretty clear that Order will win by a fair margin, and while the margin probably matters it certainly takes some of the thrill out of the competition. If they adjust things so an across-the-board Order win isn't guaranteed then it will be more fun for everyone -- even Order players.

To be fair, I think they are boring of nothingness because of Sigmar. What did Sigmar do to make them exciting before Chaos came in? Then again, can we blame Sigmar or blame Kirby? At least Mr Roundtree has made AoS exciting while Kirby failed miserably.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

I want to see more of Mannfred's castle Nachtsreik and what his get are doing. One thing I will say when kevin got more control there was a slight shift in the fluff and how it was presented. IMO.

Honestly I disagree. The age of Sigmar fluff has been consistent in its quality, at times great, at others not so much - but seeing as how the best information we have on the subject says that these projects are done years in advance, and I think its a little misguided to believe that Kevin's role as CEO had anything to do with the Age of Sigmar fluff (although depending on lead times it is possible.)

True, I can see your point.

I do feel whenever they do Death fluff it's really good I don't know why overall I feel undead fluff has overall been good in their fantasy product. Or maybe it's just my undead fanboy-ism talking.

Settra story had so much potential, yet was completely mishandled/wasted. Was really hoping he would have been the chaos lord in the starter set of AOS.

If there's one theme I love, its ice!

Loving it more as since it'll be a low model count army with a large variation with bits, each model will feel like an individual character like in a warband or something. Think I will certainly do a 1000 point group of these. A Frostlord on Stonehorn and 4 Mournfangs is a whopping 840 already, maybe fill it with 4 Fenrisian wolves as Sabres or something. $123 retail, which should just be over £70 from a discount store, errrrmmm, BARGAIN!

Edit: Or, make it a lesser lord on Stonehorn and use the other rider as a Hunter on foot for 2 Sabres to stick with him. BOOOM.

Since there's going to be a distinction now between Beastclaws and Gutbusters, I wonder if either group will get new models at some point?

Half the fun of the ogres is that their parts are pretty much completely compatible across all the plastics, so once you have a few sets you can pretty much guarantee none of them look the same.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

One of the swedish store managers said that buying a faction box nets you 20 points, while painting gives a score (not sure what it was) and playing only gets you 1 point.

If that's true, makes sense why Order jumped out to such an early lead with the Sylvaneth release. Kind of makes me think Destruction may be due for a boost.

They dropped the grey skin for ogres with the last WHFB Ogre Kingdoms army book which I believe was released almost five years ago in 2011.
