I was building my Space marine Assault Sqaud today and i was wondering. Can you put like 2 plasma pistols and chainswords and still use them like they are seperate. Like shoot each plasma pistols and have 2 attacks in the combat phase? please help me out here.

if the option for 2 plasma pistosl on one model is nto int eh codex then no.
I like to model some marines with dual pistols but it will still just count as one pistol for shooting (but you can still say it's 2 CCWs)

A lot of people do the dual weapon thing with assault marines, Bloodclaws, Khorne Berserkers, and so on. I think it looks silly.

Although it looks cool you can't use it in the game, unless your using those Sisters of battle assualt marine things with dual bolt pistols (also they get the option for the original hand flamers) although the dual weapons only count as twin linked they still get two attacks in close combat.

I recently started playing again after a long hiatus, and found I had a shoebox full of old Ultramarine troops unassembled. I didn't have the codex or anything I just wanted thme to be cool, so I build/primed/painted them up until I was happy with them. When I picked up a codex I found I was hosed. I have a ten man assault squad that has 10 powerfists, and 4 plasma pistols. They look great, but wysiwyg players have a stroke whenever I attempt to use them.

I am tempted to model a few paired BP minis.In the books SM's are always clubbing cultists and such like over the head with their pistols,so it would not effect the game in any way as i know they do not get any benefit from 2 pistols,it is just to look cool on the mini.
