Here is my Tau ambushers. Please say what you like about them and/or what you dont but please dont be like "oh thats the worst painted model ever, my grandma can paint better then that." because these are some of my first tau EVER. any good comments would be much appreciated.

I can see the effect you're going for with the ghillie suits, but I'm not sure if static grass is the best material to use. I think you should try glass fibre sheeting from fiberglass kits, the fibres are really long and numerous, allowing you to make really authentic ghillies.

It's good so far, keep practicing

Crusading deep in the Eastern Fringe.

The paint is a bit patchy, as said before, but the effect of the ghillie suit is thrown off by the fact that there is an awful lot of glue showing.

Also, a wash or two would really help to bring out some detail and shade in the recesses. Keep in mind for next time!

They look interesting and different with the grass on them nice way to do a camo effect great way to make it look nice.

still fairly new myself at doing painting but as most have said few patches that i could see and as romeo said

with just starting using washes myself it really does bring detail out and is shocking how much better it makes the mini look
