Some pics of my Tau Broadsides that will virtually complete my Tau army. Only thing else I need to paint here is a Hammerhead.

Not bad at all, VERY bright scheme but it looks good in contrast with the field.

My eyes hurt off the highlights

Very nice

The highlights on the black look a bit too harsh though, perhaps a couple of black washes could sort this out. The barrels of the railguns look a little shoddy in comparison to the rest of the painting; almost as if they've been drybrushed rather than shaded. Why not paint them white? I think that'd work really well with the colour scheme you have already (which i love).

Nice job, Interesting choice of color scheme but you have made it work. Hope we get to see the whole finished army soon.

Very cool indeed. The second shot of them looks really good, I think the flash makes them look a little harsh in the first and third.

An army in these colours and to this quality of painting will look great. Cant wait to see more.

Here we go. The entire army save an unfinished Hammerhead and Devilfish.

The blue is found on the support and heavies really as well as the Kroot. The Hammerhead will be the same blue color as well.

that is all.

After the orbital strikes, Thunderhawk bombardments, Whirlwinds, Vindicators, fusion and starfire and finally Battle Brothers with flamers had finished cleansing the world of all the enemies of Man, we built a monastery in the center of the largest, most radioactive impact crater. We named the planet "Tranquility", for it was very quiet now.

maybe some watered down asurmen blue and a watered down light wash of Blazing orange on the orange parts would do amazing things.

Washes=/ Blending. Perhaps someone else should learn some blending techniques...

Nice and colorful scheme ya got there. great tabletop look to them. I like how the spot colors denote different aspects and the orange ties them all together.

slave, in all fairness, he may have meant that blending would look nice, but seeing as the army is almost done at this point, its unrealistic to suggest that. Thus, another suggestion, of using a wash.

After the orbital strikes, Thunderhawk bombardments, Whirlwinds, Vindicators, fusion and starfire and finally Battle Brothers with flamers had finished cleansing the world of all the enemies of Man, we built a monastery in the center of the largest, most radioactive impact crater.
