So after managing to kill my third camera (seriously, Iraqi moondust will do a number on any sensitive electronics), I finally got a new one back here in the good ole' US of A and put it to good use taking pictures of a few of my favorite models that I've painted over the last year or so. Enjoy.

That deff dread is adorable (in the manliest, most badass, and grimdarkest sense of the word, of course...). I wish the leaves on the spider's tree weren't so flat and unnatural. They really put a damper on the awesome paintjob, for me.

Honestly, I'm pretty lukewarm on the trukk. The little touches are fantastic, from the blood streaks under the windshield wipers to the cracks and bullet holes in the windows to the textured weld beads and fillets, but no matter how nice the details added, it still looks like it came off the shelves of Toys'R'Us.

Yeah, GW's trees are not the best, unfortunately. My other option was to do each leaf individually, and I'd done that before with my Orion model (see my Avatar pic) and I just didn't want to do that again.
As for the truck, it's just a 1/35 scale model kit that a hobby knife has had a day with. I could have done a lot more to it, but the point is for it to look like my Orks are driving a looted Hummer H2, so I had to keep the spinners.

These cool, my man. My personal highlights are stompy the dread (lol), sneaky Snikrot coming up on sleepy Catachan, and the Spider.

Thanks man. I didn't really base it on anything, other than that I really wanted to do the Gigantic Spider for a while and this gave me a good reason to. After it's all done the display base is going to have an Empire swordsman facing away from the tree with his arms raised and two Ungors running away from him, while the spider is sneaking up from behind.
