I like the Excorcist pad. Could be useful for Librarian conversions.

EXACTLY what I was thinking!

Of course, H.B.M.C. is a big Exorcists fan too, so a win there as well!

I really like those jump packs....to bad I dont have any jump infantry hehe.

One question about the shields. I bought some of your dragon scale shields for my sallies termies. Is there an easy way to attach these that will not require a crap load of conversion in replacement of the normal combat shields?

I do what the voices in my wifes head say...

Just straight cut the shield off. Our shields have a squared angle hand grip, you can put the hands in there. (I just magnetize it).

Wow. That DA shoulderpad is amazing, and not like anything GW is making. Great work. More armor-as-reliquary stuff, please!

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

When will the "heresy era" Terminator pads be available?

These things:

are awesome!

The layered look is something I'd like more of.

Maybe a leg armor conversion kit in that style, sort of like Techmarine armor?

Wow all that stuff turned out real well. I'm glad to see the refinement of the MKI pattern shoulder pad and I know someone who'll just eat up the Iron Hands stuff.

Is the chaplain/skull helmet available? I didn't see it on your web site, and I'm holding off ordering some things waiting for it.

I take it that it's past the point where we can chime in and request that the studded pads have studs rather than tennis balls?

Very cool Jump Packs. Any chance of showing off GW models with your pieces on them? Maybe create generic pieces equivalent to GW Space Marine bits for showcase purposes.

Chapterhouse, I clicked this thread thinking there was new stuff by you (always cool) but nothing for me.

Then BAM! Space Wolf Rhino kit.

You never fail to amaze.

edit: one question. Is that first skull meant to fit in the hatch kit? If not, what's the recess meant for?

Those exorcist pads are epic win.

Also, I never saw a news post about it - but your magnetized combi-weapons are also awesome.

How about a reworking of the Blood Raven style pad with a removable blood drop? I'd be all over those if the drops weren't upside down.

They are half spheres = studs.
Tennis balls are whole spheres.

Looks good but when we going to see some Space Sharks?

Give me the address to the guy who owns the space sharks iconography and it might be done.

Those exorcist pads are epic win.

Thanks
Which one looks better, the termie version with the pantagram on or the normal smaller versions.

edit: one question. Is that first skull meant to fit in the hatch kit? If not, what's the recess meant for?

The skull fits inside the top hatch recess. It looks awesome, trust me.

I should have a painted up example in 2 weeks time.

Ask Nick about it, website organization is his duty
As far as I know him he“ll do it the second he gets some time over.

Yes, due to casting issues, the hatch skull was cast seperately. This is meant to be on the top hatch, but a good hobbyist would be able to GS smooth out the top hatch recesses and use the skull for something else if they wish.

Very cool on the SW rhino kit! If I may offer a little criticism. It has too many skulls. I know 40k is all about skull overload, but the wolves use alot of wolf symbology other than skulls. Of the 4 locations, 2 giant skulls is probably sufficient. I would have like to see wolf heads in profile or even full body wolves instead. Diamond patterns with textured metal interiors, wolf claws, etc. also match the theme. On the same tangent, the skulls are oddly proportioned with the triangular/sloping orbitalis socket. I am guessing you were going for the ancient canids ala http://www.gi.alaska.edu/ScienceForum/ASF18/1868.html . However, notice that the socket doesn't sweep back that far and looks more rounded and closer to the main skull body. I know these are fantasy wolves in space, but the effect looks a bit odd, though nothing too bad. Finally, the cowling "hats" on the skulls is a peculiar choice.

All in all, though, it is a nice kit and I would probably give it a B+ and recommend it! I hope to see a themed Land Raider kit in the future.

The new celtic shield is very nice and I would love to see some similar themed shoulder pads for Terminators especially.

Keep up the good work!

Here are the greens:

And if you want to know the top skull, the loose skull that is was modeled on a real wolf skull.
These pics were used by me as model for the skull, I added some alterations but you cant find a more realistic skull anywhere over at GW.

http://www.promiselandranch.net/Images%20and%20Buttons/Skulls29.jpg

As for the side and front plate skulls they are more stylized and less realistic just to fit in with the concept I wanted to make.

This is a skull heavy sculpt yes but that is intentional, this is one of two SW rhino kits I made (and the first one cast). I wanted one to be skull themed and the other to be "iron" themed. One to fit more with tribal, nature, viking wolfs with skulls and pelts and charms and the otehr is riveted with an iron look that fits more with "Iron wolves".

Tennis balls are whole spheres.

I think the point there was the studs are a little on the large side.

Look at how GW does their "MKVI" studded shoulder pad (both in plastic and the FW resin version) for more detail...

Again, i only meant the criticism as constructive- they are very good work. Just to be nit picky, though, compare how wide the sculpted back skull sockets are with your inspiration pics- the actual skulls have narrower sockets. Actual canid skulls have a two part structure to the orbitalis socket; it's not just a big "eye hole"- the back sweep is actually also where the jaw connects (underneath). Also, canids have a much stronger cranial crest. Additionally, I still think the sculpts sweep back a bit far which, I believe, is an error due to perspective of the photos used which have a slightly forward view and not a top down.

And I never brought GW into it- I feel the work stands on its own! FWIW, GW canid skulls are very small, so any defects are less noticeable. Larger sculpts can require more attention to detail, whereas tiny just need to suggest the general properties.

Regardless, these are pretty minor critiques on solid work and I greatly look forward to the "Iron" themed set as well!
