Lysander looks a little shiny could perhaps use a wash for some shading other then that looks ok wish my first models looked like that. Can't really tell with the termies they look ok over all but the picture doesn't show much detail.

Looks great. The termies, from what I can tell, look fantastic. Perhaps a closer shot would help me see them better. Looks good though!

Don't worry about it. I'm sure your English is a lot better than everyone else's Norwegian, too, so you're already ahead of the game.

If these are your first models, then wow. Bang up job you did. Remember to thin down your paints too.....looks like the Lysander has some thicker paint on it especially on the face. Great job though.

Heya Providence.

Great to see you are eager to improve your painting Where you are at the moment is well above the average painting skill level, so you are doing great for now.

I know you are worried about not being good enough to try highlighting, but you will never know unless you test it out! Everyone has to start something new sometime after all.

Why not get a test model, paint it as you normally would, then look through dakka for some basic highlighting tips and try them out. You can show us the picture then and we can give you further tips.

If you only want to use flat colours on your models, that is ok too, but it will be hard to progress further as the only technique you will be able to work on is brush control

With the models you have, try giving them a 50% water, 50% asurman blue/badab black wash in their recesses to make them seem a bit deeper.

You can use watered down badab on the helms instead of the blue mix.

http://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/Dakka_Modeling_FAQ:_Highlighting might help you out a bit.

Definitely play with the washes my friend. I was hesitant at first, and while it's not the style I use for my armies (I cheat and use army painter varnishes) it does, in fact do wonders!

It looks good. You have very nice brush control. I think you should look into trying out drybrushing or washes to help bring out the models details. They aren't difficult, and really help the models pop.
