so in my ungor army im having a jabberslythe! and im going to make it from the giant model, any ideas or usefull tips before i start?

My first advice would be to avoid shouting in topic title.

My second advice would be to use some flying creature instead of Giant as a basis for Jabberslythe conversion. Giant makes a good basis for Cygor and Gorgon conversions, but does not really match the description or rules for Jabberslythe. Gulavhar could be used as Jabber without conversion (IMO), but plastic Fellbeast and Wood Elf Forest Dragon are also good and easy alternatives. One of the best Jabberslythe conversions I have seen was basically Forest Dragon with Carnifex' "improved senses" head.

My third advice would be to loot ideas from others. Search forums such as Dakka, Warseer and Herdstone for Jabberslythe conversion ideas. Beastmen book has been out for almost six months and many people have already built their Jabberslythes.

i think i prefer the idea of the forest dragon or the fell beast tbh, because from the fluff it seems that the Jabber- would have a long, serpant like neck, and i think id be able to do more with the dragon so its a mock up for them.

is the dragon plastic?

GW produced a Jabberwock model back in the 80's, although it's not very big. I think that's what I like about it, though. Consider looking at their classic dragons range, or, *gasp* consider using models from a different miniature range.

GW still sells their classic dragons on their website. The Jabberwock is probably going to require some googling.

Thats a Forgeworld spined beast.
Model comes in 2 halves, so posing it like that isnt hard.
Can also throw some plastic dragon wings on it instead to make it look better.







Not sure how big that is, but its £18 from GW.
Im guessing its on a 50mm x 50mm base.

To be quite honest, I'm sculpting up a "Lady Gaga" Greater Daemon/Daemon Prince model that will probably double as my Jabberslythe.

Ghorgon?

Fills a 50x50 base with ease.





Cygor?
Seems large enough to fill a base, and looks not too bad, i think the painting lets it down alot.
Also, its only £9 from black tree designs.

their both pretty cool, theres a maximini model taht would be awsome for a cygor, but that ghorgon looks pretty cool, however when im making my ghorgon its for my centigor army so itle be on all 4s lol

Simple then, use a jewelers saw to cut straight through the belt line.
Re-pose the model downwards so its on all 4's.

Only real work it will need is possible arm re-posing.

well i was planning on getting a minotaur doom bool and find a giant horse to put it on the neck of like a big ghoross warhoof

Not sure on exavt sizes of the doombull or horse, but i think it shouldnt be a bad fit.
Its the biggest horse model GW make.

yea ive just made a gree knight out of him, the horse isnt Huge but it may be the best i get without compleatley sculpting one! thanks!

then rather than the doombull, why not use a plastic montaur?
They are a little smaller, but due to being multi-part plastic you have alot more options, and being able to change the pose alot helps too.
Not only that, but with all metal the model is going to weigh a ton and be pretty top heavy.

yea and with me usising Drachyneon its going to have to be abit smaller!
