Hey folks!

I've come up with a promotion to help my FLGS, have gotten approval, and here's the plan:

I've declared myself the "House Champion" of my FLGS, Suncoast Comics. If you buy $50 of merchandise from the store, you get a token for a game with me. If you beat me....I buy you a battleforce box of your choice. The catch: You're using your best 1750 against my 2000 and playing at a point deficiency - gotta make you earn that battleforce!

I can bring 1750 to the table and beat a good number of people's 2k lists. Can you do the same to me? Come on by!!


*EDIT* Since this thread has a lot of whining from people who think its unfair to play at a disadvantage, let me clarify in the first post here so that you don't have to read down:

I'm putting my own money on the line here, and getting nothing in return. I'll meet anyone for a game 2k vs. 2k or some other point value and drop $100 vs. your $100 on the outcome....but when its my $100 vs. your NOTHING....you have to EARN that battleforce box.

Great idea! What mission will you play vs. the challengers?

A chance to win something worth about 90 bucks is pretty sweet. Plus you would have the right of saying you beat dash with a handicap. Sounds like a pretty awesome deal to me.

Your not spending 50 bucks for the soul reason to get to play a game in. Its just a bonus to it if you spend said 50 bucks at there store and not somewhere else. Its not like most of us dont drop 50 bucks fairly often on 40k as it is.

Make it a challenge. You play with 1750 and allow opponents to play 2000.

really, you want to just spend days pummelling opponents without allowing them to get a fair fight by playing even points? Not worth a battleforce imo, you should make it 2k vs 2k

LOL its funny to me that he is putting his own money on the line with nothing in return if he wins and people are complaining.

This does sound like a good gimmick to entice people to come play at the local gaming store (and buy things).

I live in Destin. If I ever made it down there, I defenatly would.

Its a good marketing maneuver. I like it.

Question: Since it is a Comics and Game shop..... does the $50 have to be GW supplies, or can it be any merchandise totalling $50... plus tax?

To anyone: I will play you in an even game, 2k vs 2k or 1500 vs 1500 if you put YOUR $100 up against MY $100. Any day of the week. But when its my money versus your...nothing...you have to earn it.
