Not sure if this is the right forum, but here goes.
Im setting up my garage for painting minis, and I would love to see pics of other peoples workstations in action! Just throw up any old pic you have, especially if its in use. I have 2 filing cabinets with a stray door between them for a table, as well as a small workbench area, and I want dome ideas on how to make the most of this space.
Any pics, even messy ones (just more character amirite?) would be awesome. Also a chance to share your weird work habits with fellow dakka members.

The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that. |

Nothing wrong with that, but I would imagine it would get really stuffy. I would get massive headaches from the paint fumes, too.
And John, those trays your minis are on... I have the exact same ones laying around the house. too bad my parents use them for dinner parties and what not, they would be perfect for your modified purpose.

It's a pretty small closet but it doesn't close while I'm in it, so it doesn't get too bad. I have a few fans for when it gets too warm or when I'm messing with flame, fumes or stuff like that. Besides, the only paints I have are the cheapo acrylic ones from Michaels, so it's nothing with true fumes. 99% of the time in my closet is spent sculpting.

Dipping With Wood Stain

We have the rare honour to have an entire room taken up by the hobby, since both myself and my boyfriend enjoy it. Here's a teaser: And there's plenty more pictures in my Hobby Room gallery. (don't want to take over the thread with too many pictures). I would have had a bunch of explanation but when I uploaded the pictures, they were a bit slow loading up so I clicked "see pictures which haven't uploaded yet" and it wiped out everything I'd written. Though a note, we now have a dremel clamped to our table next to our silver lamp, which helps a lot with any sanding down or other such things, as well as drilling. Still not fond of using it on plastics though, sometimes they melt...

A cardboard box!....A cardboard box You never had it so good.
I had to make do, with a piece of old newspaper that I used to pinch of my dad as he was asleep on his park bench.

I'll get you a photo.
I'm rather lucky in I have a very large room, however, my large room is filled with about 4 tonnes of unused crap. [serious. as in, things I don't even want.]
I have a television across the room, I can see just fine, and I've jut a full work table to work on, and enough space to lay out all my paints [all 82 of them] and keep all three of my empty figurecases behind me.
I've got a grand total of four daylight globe lamps around me from different angles, and the areas pretty well venthilated.
still kinda clostraphobic, as There are like three alcoves of non-clutter.
