-Some after thoughts on my list. I had been building the seer council upto the
NOVA and had only play tested it once, so my use of it was really limited. I found the autarch extremely useless, and actually found the seer council much more fragil and much less effective than I had anticipated. It was a major point sink, and it never payed off for me, which was a shame really.

Mission: table quarters, spearhead
I lost roll to go first again, so Im 0/3 on winning the dice off now. Opponent chooses to go first, and deploys as close to the center as possible with the big mek in the middle. He leaves the truck and warbikers, warboss in reserve, which
IMO was a mistake. I deploy far back to avoid a turn 1 assault going off. I reserve all 3 of my troops (probably a mistake on my part, but I wanted tanks alive late game for grabbing quarters)
Turn 1:
He rolls forward over the hill with all 3 battlewagons, the fourth one going around with the cannon. Shooting sees nothing.
I decide to go for the gold and bust forward, unload both dragons. I wiff on all 10 meltaguns and do 0 damage to any battlewagon (he made the couple
KFF saves that actually made it through). Autarch meltagun does nothing. But I decide to assault with the council. I multi assault, do nothing the bigmek one, but the boys one I manage to wreck.
Turn 2:
He gets his truck in. cannon battle wagon immobilizes itself on a rock (no deffrolla). the 2 deffrolla battlewagons ram and tank shock forward. The dragons pass morale, DOG and explode the bigmek battlewagon. I try and DOG the other one but fail. He kills all the other dragons with deffrolla. He gets the boys out of the still alive one (did this before moving it) and assaults the remnants of my fire dragons and easily obliterate them. His other boys that are outside the wrecked wagon shoot than assault my council but dont do a good job and lose combat miserabley and have to make 7 fearless saves I think.
My turn I tank shock the boys (fearless
lol) and than ram at full speed his truck exploding it with a nice autopen strength 10 ram. My storm guardians make it on this turn as well, but no other units. My combat sees me kill the rest of his 20 boys except the nob, which is good for me since he cant shoot me now.
Turn 3:
He doesnt get his reserves. He gets his boys into the battlewagon and drives off. The big mek and meganobs assault my seercouncil, but I kill his remaining nob, and kill the big mek and the meganobs run off which I dont catch.
My turn gets a
DA squad in. He had about half a boy squad in the battle wagon (mainly from losing a ton in dangerous terrain from going over my wrecked tank in movement and assault last turn). And i wrecked the wagon they are now in and obliterate them in either more shooting or assault, one of the two.
Turn 4:
He gets the bikers in but its really to late at this point for them to do anything. He does fix the immobile battle wagon and than proceded to immobilize it again which was funny for me, but not funny for him. I actually forgot to fortune myself the last turn and he isnta gibbed my farseer in combat somewhere, I think one of the meganobs (we were running out of time like crazy and I was trying to speed things up and started to get a bit sloppy). Anyways, without fortune he either shot the reminaing council or assaulted it but I failed morale and ran off the board (
fyi, for those following along, thats 3/3 games my seer council being completley killed, and everygame uses
VP in some way or another).
I get the other
DA unit in and go for an objective. My turn i storm guardian his arb boys to death. I kill all but 1 meganob.
Turn 5:
His warbikers shoot and assault my serpent but its not enough to stop it, and only blow off a gun.
My turn I try and grab as many table quarters as possible, but it looks like we might have that tied so I grab 2 objectives with my troops seeing as he has 0 troops left.
End of game: table quarters is tied 2-2, but I get 2 objectives to his 0. barely getting me the win, altough I think I had him in
VP by a decent margine.
