Okay I have had some good results with Fairy Power Spray. I have pushed the boundaries and discovered that Fairy Power Spray diluted 3 parts water and 1 part Fairy Power Spray gives good results and can be safely put inside a tupperware container with alot of models in. It costs (£3 at tesco for 375ml bargain!).

I am experimenting with different approaches as you still need to scrub with a toothbrush to get the gunk off, its messy and best off being done outside. How do I agitate it and get it to come off?

Well I was thinking about using the fairy power spray solution in the following item...

I am hoping for a Revolution in Miniature Stripping (and I'm not talking Dwarf ladies at Spearmint Rhino!) Any thoughts or am a complete Loon!

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

I am interested in seeing these results! even though you could only strip 1 or 2 minis in the small ultrasonic you listed, it might be worth it if it did it faster/left them spick and span. And for $13 who can argue with that?

Les from awesomepaintjob.com uses a ultrasonic cleaner you can see it in some of his vids. Send him a PM and you might be able to cox him into posting a vid about stripping with one.

Last time I was in Wilkinson's (about 3 weeks ago it was on offer and worked out at about £1.75 a bottle or so)

Tesco's All Purpose Cleaner is supposed to be good and costs 29p

Haven't tried that yet as only just got some.
The Fairy Power Spray proved okay but still hard work to remove what I now assume to have been White primer. Also some other bits stuck despite desperate scrubbing. Must have been doing summat wrong

I am on the Dettol for plastics.

It works well except the awful gunge which the paint turns into gets on to everything. I had to buy a plastic washing up bowl so I could clean off the figures. Not a desperate expense, of course.

I've experienced some detail melting with fairy power spray on plastic, due to the nature of fairy power spray, you may experience some extreme foamage if you use a mechanical agitator.
