I really dislike the current model (not to mention RAW the model can not fire). I was considering the FW ones but they look to much like a Whirlwind, and also a Rhino body just does not scream AV 13.

So if anyone has a good idea for a Kit Bash, or even just a historical model in the right scale, I would love to hear it.

Buy the GW one. Why does everyone complain about the exorcist? It's a wonderful model.

It's a pipe organ that shoots missiles strait into the air and does not have barrage.... That to me sounds like a rejected ork weapon.


Not to mention nothing about it looks like its AV 13

Tbh I wasnt that keen on the GW ones 'til I got one in hand, and I know think they are brilliantly ostentatious! Perfect for smiting the enemies of the Emprah. Teh FW ones though are a bit lame tbh.

Yeah, I meant to ask this too. Why not? I just draw the LOS from the top pipe or the organ.

Bash a few kits together, a bit of green stuff and card.
A MK1 Rhino chassis with MK3 Rhino front plate shaved down to fit. The top piece from an Immolator along with the gun mount carded over to make a turret. The missile launchers are land speeder toronado launchers doubled up.
It looks enough like a Whirlwind to see it as Imperial while having the unique flavor of the WHs.
And it dosn't weigh 5 freekin pounds with all the metal crammed on top.


You can also make a quasi FW type using the Rocket pods from the IG Valk.

It's really the Immolator top that makes the difference, IMO. This is one I'm making with a Hyperion-style turret on an Immolator-style hull. For the AV 13 I might just stick another big-ass Vindicator bulldozer blade on the front.

RAW LoS for vehicles is drawn "down the Barrel" and since the barrels are strait in the air you technically can not see anything to shoot at.


I think the MK1 rhino looks good but still not AV13, anyone seen a kit bash with a Leman Russ, or some non-GW tank?

Maybe use a vindicator body with either whirlwind turrets, or alternatively a bunch of Valkyrie missile pods mounted on top. This was one I started but never got around to finishing:



Not actually a Vindicator body there, I know, but I was speaking hypothetically there. The Rhino body is 'good enough' for me.

Are MK1's really worth that much? I have two or three of them just collecting dust. A predator and a vindicator too!

I generally see MK1 rhinos going for like $15. I'd never imagine one costing more than an exorcist.

Hows about a half-assed mock up on my half-finished Destroyer mod? Reversed the hull and stuck Valkyrie rocket pods on the now-sloping rear of the tank. You could easily do something with the engine bay to make it look more like a driver position.

I like the missile pods, but the GW tank just does not do it for me. Maybe on a LRBT. Or some sort of WW2 tank.

OMG mk1 rhinos do not go for $60 maybe pesos or yen but not dollars lol. I have like 15 of the damn things, they are useless looking compared to the mk3.

Dunno what I was looking at, but yeah. They're so ugly...*cringe*

No way... on ebay basically all the completed listings are $15-20. That's nuts.

I got the current metal/ plastic beast. The only issue I had with it was a few mold lines cutting off detail so I had to re-sculpt it and just use GS for attaching the pipes and you have one awesome organ tank from hell.
