Hola wargaming world this is the start of my blog for my custom chapter the celestial lions.
Essentialy these guys are space wolves sucsessors.
This is going to be my "baby" army and I will only build it to 2500 points then stop.
Anyway here is the scheme and there will be freehand on all the tanks and custom shoulder pads as well.

Looking forward to more of this, that freehand is bloody great! (are you going to be doing that on the marine shoulder pads?!?).

Wow, love the freehand. They look great. The colours are quite white scars esque.

I'm sure you know from the fluff that the space wolves tried a 2nd founding...it was epic fail. The wolf brothers all mutated and died. gene seed was too unstable.

But maybe cos your dudes are lions and not wolves you'll be more stable!!

Yeah, sorry buddy, but the Celestial Lions already exist. Also space wolves don't really have successor chapters, but that one gets broken so often that it's kinda "whatever".

But you should choose a different name. You wouldn't go making your own chapter of Iron Hands successors called the Ultramarines, would you?

Olympian, angelic, astral, beatific, blessed, divine, elysian, empyral, empyrean, eternal, ethereal, godlike, hallowed, holy, immortal, otherworldly, seraphic, spiritual, supernal, supernatural, transcendental.

Personally i like astral lions

Your models, your hobby, your fun. Do what you want. I play a Space wolf successor as well.


If you want alternate names:
1. Order of the White Lion
2. Snow Manes
3. Pride of the Emperor
4. Lion Hearts

I like Angelic Lions but keep the names coming.

That way you can play as a White Scars successor, they also have a very cool way of playing. No one can object to you using the space wolves codex for them. So you can have your wolf/white lion cavalry!

As the name of your chapters already been taken by some upstart, you can either ignore this inconvenient fact or rename it.
The simple solution would be to call them the True Celestial Lions, but I did like the Emperors Pride, subtle twist on the lion theme.

If you like celestial lions stick with it, it really doesn't matter. Unless you are a complete fluff buff, even then you an so easily create a fluff excuse its not even funny.

Though I see you've chosen Angelic Lions, not my cup or tea but hey if you like it, run with it.

The free hand is nice I like seeing that sorta thing on models, though if you wanted to scan an original and pickup some clear transfer paper from your local hobby store. That way for the bulk stuff like chapter icons and common details you can just print it off and pop it on like a normal water sticker.

Nice stuff, like the freehand but for some reason the style of the lions head reminds me of the lion king, did you use it for reference? Awesome skill though.

Space Wolves can't have a successor chapter, the only attempt was the Lunar Wolves and they sorta went crazy amd they were systematically hunted down for it.

But the idea and style is cool; though with the lion theme it might better fit Dark Angles.

Luna wolves were not a successor chapter of anyone ninja.
They came from the gene seed of horus.


OT:

TBH, i'd take a name change.
Celestial lions are too well known really to change colours and fluff alot.
However, a name like white lions (or others mentioned here) would work pretty decent.

Also, if you want to run them on the space pups dex and make TWC, then you can use the lions from the high elves chariots.

Love the scheme and the freehand emblem. Background wise you could say it was a Space Wolves company that suffered a mutation and went awol, and as such are constantly hunted by the Space Wolves or something like that.

for the lion cavalry, merge the thunderwolves, the fantasy high elves lion chariot and a lot of greenstuff
