I found this really cool game on the interwebz called NationStates.
You basically create your own nation, and then interact with other nations other people have created. Haven't had much time to explore it, but it seems pretty neato.

I bet a lot of the super politics people here on Dakka would get a kick out of it. It's sort of like a role playing game where you have nations instead of characters.

You can also create a region and have other nations join the region and then elect a nation to be that region's representative to the World Assembly. I propose creating a DakkaDakka region!

Someone needs to create a region called Dakka OT Wastelands and post a link to it so everyone can join.

I would do it, but in my excitement i already created a region and I don't think you can create more than one.

I played this a long time ago, and chosed to be a psychotic dictator who considered his subjects 'my little playthings'. I was also a bleeding heart green, possibly only as a natural by product of executing or imprisoning all industrialists.
So the national animal, the serpent 'froliced in the sun'. Which was somkeones interpretation of my policy of airdropping snakes into suburban areas.

Then I joined ther UN, I got tired of blocking all the touchy feely laws, yet didnt have time online to toy with my nation, which for some reason was growing from a microstate. A couple of months later I was a benign dictator of an developed country with a population base the scale of India.

I quit the account in disgust.

Years later I was loaned the book this game was a vessel for, Jennifer government. Its very good, give it a read.

Well, I joined, and may be contacting any other players shortly (or not). I am about to create a Region called 'The OT Wasteland', but we'll need a World Factbook Entry with details about the region. Any suggestions?

Of course I will be including the words 'a most wretched region of Scum and Villany' somewhere in there.
