After seeing the armour variants on Forgeworld I had to have a look to see how the new MK6 compares to the original RTB01 which I loved so much as a young painter. So I promptly grabbed a set and gave them a whirl.
The quality of the casting and the detail is so much crisper than the original models so I figured I'd better give them a proper go when it came to the painting. Now I must admit I've been painting for years but most of the time I tend to be very lazy with it. I very rarely (read almost never) thin my paints, I rely heavily on pre-made washes, don't usually bother with edge highlights and I also tend to go with very simplistic bases. So I thought I'd take this opportunity to try and do the job the 'right' way.

Anyway C&C's greatly appreciated along with any tip anyone might have to improve things.

I like the ice blue highlighting. Its a step away from the black/ extermely dark blue, w/ ultra-marine blue highlights of nearly every other CF army.
