Hey guys just wanted to show my ork boy i did yesterday i prolly work on it for like 2 hours top but i like the actual improvement over my ork nobs. Here is the boy! also say if i did improve a little or not. Good painting guys

Great work although I see a bit of splashed beige on the boot of the second one that could use a bit of cleaning up.

From your Nobz, you definitely have improved. It's evident in the shading or shadows in the recessed areas of the boy. Your rusty reds are awesome. What's the secret?

I like your style, it's kind of 'comic book' looking, with the bright colours and exaggerated tonal changes - keep it up and the army will really stand out

@valkyrie ahah yeah that was some of the rocks of the actual basing i removed does after i took the pic lol.

@artsoldier35 I do base coat black then dry brush mythrill silver and then a wash or brown. then dark brown but its like in random places like stabing instead of brushing with the dry brush and then the same thing with orange color i mix mine since i dont have Orange lol

@Million thank you for the comment i didnt think it was going to come out that good but i think orks need to be more comic since they are funny in the stories!

I have to say its an improvment. The skin on the nobs loks kind of flat. But that boy does look great and I cant wait to get that baby on the display shelf. I do have to say a whole army of those would look great on the table top.

Good work... though i don't find it Orkish enough... the bright colours look a little camp to me. especially the purple as it really clashes with the green skin (purple is opposite green on the colour wheel). perhaps it would work better with a different shade of either... i'd willing to bet that if you put the image in photoshop and converted to negative... the purple and green would essentially switch... for this reason i find it to garish and not ork ennough??

I think it looks perfect. Garish colors on orks is well, orky.

Very crisp coloring man. Im digging it for sure. But the real question is, how long did it take to paint?

It might just be the photography, but that Ork boy looks way better than those Nobz to me. His basing is also much better. Even so, the Nobz look pretty good.

@fasterthanlight hahaha i dont really paint profesionally and i didnt know the colors were just opposite of eachother. I painted as it just came to me.

@BBL I was originally going to paint it red and brown but ive seen does a lot.

@King it took not more than 3 hours and a half and i know that because i painted it when my gf was watching her show veronica mars and she watch 3 episodes at 40 mins or so each lol

@BrotherSRM yeah the pic helps a lot more it has better ligthing and i didnt base my nobs back then because i didnt know how lol

Definite improvement. The nobz looked a bit flat, to me, but this boy pops. You've started to really define the stark, cartoony look and, while it isn't for everyone, it's well executed. I'd never do it for my own army, but I love seeing others pull it off.

Nice work! While the Nobs look pretty good, their shading's a little too similar to the main colour, which would make them look flat from a distance. The boys look better though. Great job on the weathering too.

Actually, purple is across from yellow...

It's always great see orks painted! I would do more washs, drybrushing and use the GW's Matt Varnish Spray. Your technique is solid and your colors are daring.
