So waaaay back in the early 2000s I got tired of waiting for the long-promised plastic Cadian Shock Troops and, finding some old Grenedier plastics on www.em4miniatures.com I decided to make my own Canadian Stock Troopers!

(Fluff - Recruited from the Arctic world of Plastic Canadia, the Canadian Stock Troopers are mercenaries who are paid in shares of the company)

The models were pretty crude and apparently armed with dust busters

But they did have some nifty metal heavy weapons and command bits

By replacing their guns with ones from 1/35 model kits I was able to put together a pretty credible IG force (if you ignore my lackluster painting).

But I've reached the conclusion I'll probably never use them again and decided it's time to toss them (not much a secondary market) after yanking off any useful bitz.

Thus the once-mighty Canadian Stock Troops have met their final defeat.

Rest in peace/pieces my little ones and know that my Wargames Factory army will carry on you mission.

Next I need to decide what to do with the Estonian Drop Troops.

They're like kidnapping someone, and forcefeeding them heroin until they're hooked.

The picture of these guys in the trash is just heart breaking. I will have a moment of silence as I have a drink to them tonight. Cheers.

...urrrr... I dunno

Aye, let us remember them for their heroism, and not their defeat.
'Tis a pity when you have to throw out your old models, but sometimes it can't be helped.

Iron Warriors VII Company = 1850pts
Fjälnir Ironfist's Great Company = 1800pts

Quick boot to the curb=hauled them to DC (didn't play them), hauled them to Guyana (didn't play), hauled them to China (didn't play) and back to DC. I think 6 years of hauling them around is enough of a chance for my enthusiasm to return.

But still.

Yes, but ones man's trash is another man's treasure. I heard some story of someone here on dakka going through his neighbor's garbage (lol) and finding like, a RT landraider and a box of 2nd ed. SM. (I think )
