This army was not painting for a commission....it was for my own pleasure. It did however serve as a template for any future BA commissions.
All the ass marines have SG packs and DC bodies. Except the units in rhino. They have DC packs and shoulders.

Even though the army look really nice it seems to lack the heart and soul you pour into the minis.

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.

If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.

@iluknisaa: I think you are wrong, you can see the effort put in... i think they are really nice.... they are better than the SW he has done for commission.... the keyword were it was done for his pleasure

As someone who just finished some Blood Angels, respect across the board. They all look great and I know how tough they can be to get all those silly little details.

I didn't find them tough, just annoying. The commission I did was all the DC Marines in Red, though. So, as you know, it was a game of "Don't miss the purity seal!"

Pretty much everything looks identical, bases, rhinos, paintjob (overall industry finish). Only poses show some variation.

Well that's the first time I've heard of someone being critiqued for consistency across an army.

I would agree with you illuknisaa if it were not for the work that has to go into each of the gems alone, surely that deserves some recognition of artistic intent?

nice work, I see more and more people picking up an airbrush nowadays and the results are all excellent, although BA seems to be the airbrush army of choice! I have seen your wolves and like them as well, if you can air brush your basic base colours and shading then spend more time on the details as you've done you can crank out some very impressive work pretty quickly! I love the idea with the FW parts to represent a part of the BA specialised engines it's a nice touch and i'm keen to see what else you can do! :-)
