Mostly it seems like fairly common sense or expected minor changes- like cleaning up the last of the "immune to flaming" items. Dreaded 13th is cleaned up to about how I think it was generally understood, but removing any wiggle room.

I don't know that the new definition of Unmodified Leadership is going to make things debate free, though...

Kind of surprised that they needed to specify that Dispelling Throne of Vines doesn't 'de-augment' the other Lore of Life Spells (though I suppose that stops that line of debate).

Seems they fixed Amulet of Fire only in the HE FAQ.

Awww the Chaos FAQ doesn't clarify at what step Giants with ASF Tstomp at

Kind of weird you can't use the Death/Nurgle spells that pick out targets to single out Monsters or Handlers, but still have to randomize though.

Nice to see the FAQs are coming pretty regularly with the new edition. I think GW is really on the right track here and addressing their fan's concerns.

So, Waaagh!'s finally an ASF spell in effect. Not that it mattered much, but glad to see they finally cleared that part up (since there were a few minor debates on how it would react in regard to ASF).

I can definitely see debate on the "Unmodified Leadership". What do I mean? Skaven. Arguably, one could now say that the bonus' from rank bonus apply to Unmodified Leadership. Meaning a Clanrat's unmodified leadership in a unit with a Chieftain and three ranks is... 9.

It also looks like it would cause problems with the "Auto-Fail Leadership" bits (Ex: What happens if you strike a War Machine itself with the Skull Wand of Kaloth? Or a Screaming Bell?).

I played a lizardmen player who allowed the spells to be "de-augmented"... I had no idea so I went with it. Not having them de-augment makes it even scarier than I realized...

What's all the hubbub about unmodified leadership? And I guess there's no clarification about being forced to use the general's leadership for all lead tests if in range (even if it's lower due to him being hexxed, etc). So that's still a nasty trick!

The hubbub is that unmodified usually means a result that is not modified by another source :p I dont mind the ruling, but its in no way the definition of "unmodified" and isnt even the standard of how GW used to define the term

Imagine mind war in 40k if everyone had LD10 because some random character joined the unit.. no more sniping for you!

I think they took away the ability to have a VC army without a Vampire :(
