has anyone thought of using these as Thunder wolf cavalry. They are £72 from mythicast, but it saves the problem of conversion and they look really cool. Any thoughts.

IMO they are horrible sculpts as are the Mr. Dandy ones... i find them clumsy and dis-proportionate.

I think these are fantastic though -

Also Paulson games and microart have good ones.

I bought them. Make sure they get your order right. But I generally like them, check this post for some ups and downs

fasterthanlight, can you fit a GH on to the saddles and do you know what the scale is, thanks for the advice though.

essex, england

i just got 15 of these wolves and they are good. they are not £72 btw they are $72 so just under £10 each. space wolves fit on top no problems and mine arrived in a pre cleaned state, they just needed a little bubble prep like all resin models.
the delivery is slow but with free shipping ill live with that.
i got 15 of these for my twc and then 3 more refined ones from a trade on here (from gamesroomclearout2010) which i am using for my wolf lord and iron priest.

the mythicast ones are 5 seperate poses so that adds to it instead of 1 pose. i also got 10 storm shields (custom designs ) and some chain lengths for free so a really good deal.
i love the mean look of them too and they all have bionic parts so fits with the twc story

check out my pics of the non mythicast ones i have done

They look really good! I like the ones fasterthanlight posted too. Very nice. Both look pretty good for giant wolves with power-armoured dudes on them

Well if you consider that the wolves have cyber parts its pretty safe to assume that they are designed as 3rd party thunderwolves.

IMO they are the nicest out there. i would rather wait a little longer, save a little more, and get those.

Please don't get the mythicast ones... i just want to see at least one good Thunderwolf before i die.

I got the Hero Model that Mythicast released, and was rather disappointed.

The quality of the miniature in both the casting (huge amount of air bubbles in the miniature, that would require many a Milliput bath to fix) and sculpting was far from the quality of the images that they posted on their website ( claws/paws were lacking detail and generally poor)

I myself will be picking up the ones fasterthanlight posted, given they are more expensive, the quality just seems much greater.

Yes there were quite a few bubbles in the resin. One of my fenrisians is nearly missing his rear feet because it looks like the mold didnt keep the resin in right there / bubbles were popped right on the feet. Lameness in a bucket. But for the price and the number of models that I got, free shipping with the 5 pack and the free 'thunder shields' it was at least worth it.
