Ok everyone hey. I'm running a chaos army of beserkers and 2 DPs, one is slaanesh (for lash of submission) and the other is a DP with warp time. Problem is i cant decide whats better mark of Tzeentch for the invulnerable save to go from 5+ to 4+ or the mark of nurgle to bring his toughness from 5 to 6.
I know different icons must be better in different situations, but over all which one will help me out more often (need to decide cause I'm painting the model soon)
heres my list, the one under my post XD

also even in a general chaos army is nurgle or tzeentch mark better?

Do your princes hug cover?
Do you princes die more to mass fire?
Do you princes die more to mass powe weapons?
I would prefer to just leave the prince undivided to save points, otherwise, it's a personal call.
Each mark has a nice niche, but that's what it is, a niche; you will come to situations where having the other would be more preferable.
If you had to choose one, I would say go with Nurgle; hug cover and don't charge into squads alone.
Any heavy weapon fire comes up against cover saves while small arms comes up against T6, while in combat, use a supporting squad to lock down the enemy fist if possible/wipe them out.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Why not run a Khorne DP or Kharn cause, you know, you are an army of Berzerkers?
Fluff it up.

I'm not such a believer in T6 anymore. Lasguns, missle launchers, lascannons, most all ordnance all wound you just the same. You are a little more resilient against bolters, heavy flamers, multilasers, but all of these go against your armor save anyway which deminishes the resiliency. I think cover is harder to come by for a monsterous creature so Tzeentch seems more valuable to me, especially sinces the units that really hurt you, vendettas and missle devastators, blow through your armor. And Tzeentch allows for a second power so if you have pts you can throw in a bolt for anti tank.

Tzeentch all the way, mostly for the increased number of spells you can slap on the big red bastard. Great support for your zerkers, and should round out your army nicley.

Tzeentch and Nurgle mixed on the same model? Fluff heresy!!!
I will admit, that would be a very cool concept though, and could be a lot of fun to paint and model. As far as the game is concerned, A tzeentch lord is great for the sheer range of utility and destructive spells availible to it. With a mostly Khorne army, I would guess that the enemy would be more worried about a dozen or more zerkers getting into melee than a single pus-oozing ball of nurgle.

I wrote about this in kind of ridiculous detail here:
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/30/330496.page#2180581
The short version is that the Nurgle prince is more durable. Unless you want a Tzeentch-only psychic power, or are set against Nurgle for reasons of theme, Nurgle wins.

Well when I have to deal with a DP, I usually try to get as many AP 2 shots and power weapons on it as possible. So for someone like me I would recommend going with Tzeentch for the 4++, but I guess it depends on how your opponents like dealing with your DP.

Until you make it into your opponent's lines, you should be getting cover saves from your vehicles or terrain; which make a 4+ I save superfluous.
Once you get into the opponent's lines, the Nurgle prince's T6 makes enough of a difference against all the small-medium guns and against HTH attacks that he's still more durable than the Tzeentch prince almost all the time. Units like TH/SS assault terminators will crush either of them anyway.
