This may be silly, I know, but will help me a gak ton.

Me and my best friend are going to our first Apoc tourney and needed some advice.

1. What's the best strategems? (He plays Fast BA, me a Deep Striking GK Force)
2. How much of asses would we be if we picked "blocked comms?" (This isn't the name, I just don't have my Apoc book right now)
3. It's a 2v2v2v2. It's gonna be hectic. What's the best way to shut down all the foes? (They have a titan... )

Thanks for your help.

1. I'm a huge fan of flank march. Imagine being able to threaten everywhere within 18" of a board edge with sanguard!

2. 3/10, with 1/10 being insisting that your opponent measure range every time he shoots and 10/10 being insisting that your opponent's space marines can't fire because their eyes are blocked by their helmets.

3. Put in a Lord Inquisitor with a Psychic Hood. 50/50 chance that any psychic power used by an enemy doesn't go off at all. For titan hunting, you're basically screwed as GK, but Furioso Dreads with Blood Fists will, if they can get close enough, probably be your best bet (unless it has a titan CCW).

There's just an acre of you fellas, isn't there?

For "Blocked Comms" I was thinking of Jammers. It means your opponents get no time to talk about deployment. At all No verbal, no gestures and (for some reason) no telekinesis. Odd.

And I was going to bring 4 Lord inquistors. For redundancy. And that they are around 100 pts each. I love DH.

What, and hope that the opponents decide to just leave his force intact cause there's something bigger out there? Not going to happen. Sure it might help, but its unreliable.

For the Titan, try to get melta bike squads for the BA. A vindicator linebreaker squadron would also help you alot

I like to imagine the Emperor kills so many Orks that he ends up half buried beneath a pile of corpses, with only his head sticking out. A lone grot stumbles across him, and starts choking him.

Then Horus comes across the lone grot, somehow managing to kill the Emperor, and punts it into space.

the best universal stratagems are flank march, careful planning, vital objective. Its been a while since I played so I might have left something out. imo the flank march asset is a terrible mistake and should be banned from friendly apoc games. Its just too powerful. your general strategy for apoc should be to hold your objectives and the center objectives; ignore the rear objectives. lascannons are to apoc what meltaguns are to a normal game. you should bring every single lascannon you have. if you bring enough lascannons the titan shouldnt be a problem. your biggest obstacle to successfully completing the game isnt your opponent at all. its time. especially if you're playing with a bunch of noobs. apoc is an advanced format if you or the other guys dont know what you're doing you wont finish your game and it will get boring pretty quick. my best advice is to impose a time limit on players turns; if you dont get it done in the allotted time it doesnt happen. keep the game moving.
