I know about these Maxmini shotguns, but wondered if there were any other manufacturers out there that had 28mm shotgun bits that would work with an Imperial Guard army.

Any suggestions (and webstore links!) would be most appreciated.

Thanks!

Hasslefree Miniatures has some guns that might work.

I've not used their shotgun equivalents, but I can certainly vouch for their overall quality.Just be aware that their weapons are much smaller than the GW equivalents. I've never been that fond of the GW macrocalibre weapons, but they might look a little out of proportion.

if you cut the feed pipe and flamer head from an IG flamer, that seems to make a pretty decent shotgun.

I am bumping this both to thank everyone that originally replied and to whine a bit about the Maxmini shotguns. I took a risk and bought two packs worth for an IG project, and damn are those shotguns small! I guess they are more appropriately sized for true 28mm minis and not the heroic scale GW uses because they seem like children's toys when put in the hands of a Cadian miniature.

I lost track of this thread and missed your warning, Flinty, but I appreciate the heads up (even if I didn't follow it).

vodo40k, I may play around with your suggestion to use modified flamers.

Anyway, just wanted to echo what Flinty said...the Maxmini weapons are tiny.

The old GorkaMorka sprues included shotguns (some attached to ork arms, some standalone) - I still have a few in my bitz box. Could be rather difficult to track down in any quantity though...

I will put up an ad in the swap shop, but if anyone in this thread wanted to part with GorkaMorka or Necromunda shotguns I know of a certain buyer who would be interested.

Check out lifeofshan's blog here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/224537.page

He does some really fantastic shotgun conversions using Cadian flamers and lasguns. Scroll down the first page and you can see multiple pics of it. It's how I plan on converting mine when I get around to it.

Edited: Fixed link.

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

That link doesn't seem to be working Death By Monkeys.

Lonecoon, please update us on how those shotguns turned out they look great!

It does, just put it in the URL bar, and delete the last full stop.
