Instead of using the Citadel Chimera, I used a 1/35 ZLC2000 from hobbyboss. It's a very nice and detailed model and a good alternative for the chimera.
It's just a few centimeters longer but it matches the IG good.

Very nice model. It even has firing loopholes in the sides.

I like the texture of the paint.

Oh, very nice indeed. Personally I would have 40k'yfied the gun as the realistic gun is looking a bit thin.

It could be retro-fitted by drilling out a core from a 4.8mm plastic rod, and sliding it over the barrel. Bit of plasticard and putty for the mantlet.

Done with care, the 40K gun could be kept removeable and the vehicle could still be used for modern day as well.

That is an ace model. It appears to be missing its hull weaponry though.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Yes definitely needs some new armaments!

Otherwise I like... My first reaction was "looks too 21st century"; but I think replacing the gun will be a huge difference.

Perhaps a further enhancement might be "40k'ing" the engine by adding some huge diesel-style exhaust pipes... That thing will supposedly run on promethium after all!

Thought I'd give the whole 'Blogger' lark a go...
